A favorite classic from the 80’s. I don’t know this mix and so found I didn’t like it. But I’m glad to find out about it and have a listen. I suspect the later remix is the only one I knew of and still do prefer when comparing both. I also find that I tend to prefer a mix I grew up with. If I discover another mix 30 years down the track I don’t tend to warm to it as it seems alien to me. Not being familiar with it. Still, I always like to discover new mixes of… Read more »

Just stumbled upon this post while looking for something else..

I might correct you as there are 2 F. De Wulfs active in Belgium since the 80s, confusing as often both are credited as F.De Wulf…

Fonny De Wulf – Mostly producing Hi NRG / Euro Disco and a few mainstream New Beat (Plaza) / House tracks.

Frank De Wulf – Produced New Beat and later on Techno.

I know what you mean. I know the name Fonny De Wulf, at least I recall a Fonny. I associate it with a black on white cardboard CD single of some song called I’m raving. But I would need to track down my CD collection to verify. As to one doing house and the other techno, well that is where the lines can blur. Though the song I’m thinking of would suit more to the style of techno.

Most of Belgian trio “Plaza” songs (circa 1990) are credited to F. de Wulf.

Hey Paul, just in case you need more ideas to fill the “love” week, here’s some love-related hard to find gems from my wishlist:

Gene Loves Jezebel – Desire (Come And Get It) (Dance Mix)
Jesus Loves You – Generations Of Love (Totally Outed Mix)
Transvision Vamp – I Want Your Love (I Don’t Want Your Money Mix)

Thanks, hombre. I’d totally forgotten about this song. So many dance tracks from 1986 and into 1987 used the cowbell (for better or worse). I have to admit this song hasn’t aged as well as Dead or Alive or other “cowbell bands” from that mid-80’s period, but it was fun to dance to back in the day and it brings back fond memories of nightclubbing with friends. Speaking of cowbells, do you have any Until December 12″ singles? Some of their extended remixes were released on a double CD quite a few years back, but I’d love to find a… Read more »

This is such a fantastic week Paul!! I mean, Valentine’s Day is almost upon us, but to have the week of that day incorporating stupendous music is enchanting! I can’t wait to check this one out. I love your introductions to dance music I’ve missed. The name Romeo sounds familiar, but not this single. I love the cover too! This would be a single I’d snatch up just because of the cover. That’s what I loved about vinyl back in the day. A purchase was so much more than just hearing a record. You are so AWESOME!! Thanks a trillion… Read more »

Thanks for this classic! Somehow ZYX never released all versions on cd single and I only had a crappy vinyl rip.
