thanks paul,

i’m surprised this music made it outside of some
places in the US.

back in the late 80’s, and early 90’s, this industrial
techno sound was making all the rounds, and this was
part of it.

i see in the other comments, other people recognized
this trend.

a good compilation to get is this one:
https://www.discogs.com/Various-Retro-Club-Classics/release/679269

CCCP, MCL, Voyou, Lesson Seven, T-4-2
3 Times 6, Umo Detic, V.I.M. are on it.

it’s cheap and has a lot of classic electro tracks.

Paul, we will have Ralf Henrich aka RaHen aka MCL / Robotiko Rejecto / MoskwaTV / Axodry performing this Saturday in Houston at Numbers. I’ve been working with him, and he’s a super nice guy.

I do remember this one. I always thought it was great! Thanks for posting. Reminds me of being at the Clubs back in the 80’s.

As if a thank you for our donations, you’ve given us a great one, Paul! THANK YOU!

I will second what Hugo said above, I’d LOVE to see this be the first of a run of the classic “New Beat” or EBM dance category including Voyou, Tribantura, Moskwa TV and more MCL (especially “Stranger”!)

Amazing, about time someone remastered this EBM track.
Paul if you picked this up it means that we are on track for the like of Robotiko Rejecto, Tribentura and Night Moves…?
Hope to hear more of this EBM wave.

PS, It is more EBM than Industrial to me, not even close to Skinny Puppy or Front Line Assembly!

Thanks, Paul for this great track! even though it’s not about the Sinatra’s NY, NY.
German New Wave bands (ie, Nina Hagan and the likes) had a thing about the Frank Sinatra song but in a hardcore way ;-). Awesome…

I’m aware of the NY Sample at the end of the Track from Sinatra’s song but it’s very common for these EBM bands to have Songs/Movies Samples in their songs but it’s a Goody two shoes Sample compared to the harsh beat of the EBM sound, it’s kind of an ironic Sample.

This has been a long time favorite of mine Paul. First heard it from the Razormaid! Remix Service and I was hooked immediately. I’m so excited to get it from you from the original label. I was always hooked on the harder genres of dance music. From Electro, to New Wave/Synth Pop, Industrial and Techno, the more different sounding a piece of music sounded, I was spellbound. You’re always bringing back tracks that reign supreme in my consciousness and sub-consciousness. PLUS!!!!! You majorly introduce me to styles and sounds that make me climax in ear-gasms galore!! Basking in your glow!!!… Read more »

I have never heard this song in its entirety…only in a few medleys here and there. It does remind me of the early days of techno music. Specifically, portions of songs used in the Ultimix Oh No Techno 2 Medley: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbsI6hBmlA4 Give it a listen if you like techno…even if you don’t love techno, there are some really cool portions of the songs in the medley.

Thanks, Paul!
