Some sweet memories when I hear this tune. Thanks for sharing this one, Paul.
If I remember correctly, you originally posted this after having to deal with a setback? It was a good response. Love this record and his other music is great too.
Thank you for the great re-rip of Break My Stride. This is one of my favorite records of the 80″s which I find very uplifting. The quality is amazing while listening to this on headphones.
my friend, hay algunas versiones “extended” que superan el original, este es uno de los casos, AMAZING!!!!!
Thank you Paul
oh wow 🙂 I love “Break my Stride”
I’ll enjoy hearing this 12″ mix
Thanks 🙂
Great memories, thanks Dj!!
This single is in my Top 3 of 1983! So glad you did a re-rip of this, Paul! And very glad to hear that you’re recovering fast and well! Well, I remember WILLING this single and praying so hard every week on AT40 that it would climb faster and higher. It did work for a while, but my will and prayers could only do so much. LOL! This definitely deserved a #1 or at least a Top 3! Funny how singles and chart placing could affect us so much as teens. I wonder if kids these days feel the same,… Read more »
Ric,
I so appreciate what you had to say. I did this all the time with certain records that I believed deserved to get to the upper reaches of the charts. Sometimes it worked, other times…well, not so much. That’s why Burning The Ground and Paul means so much. Here, songs that I loved are getting a second chance to be discovered and re-discovered all over again. Plus, you guys are so terrific with your comments. Paul is a genius for creating this very special place on earth and cyberspace.
Jeff
Yes, another re-rip I was hoping for. Great tune, nice to have it ripped in higher quality. Can tick this one off my list, thanks Paul.
I always loved this song and also his next single The Kid’s American.
Paul!!! So incredibly cool to have certain things back!! This was another tune I wanted way back when, but somehow missed out on purchasing it. And it’s sad too because I do look for these things to come out on compact disc. So many compilations abound, but they do have the same track listings. With you, quality is such the standard (and gift!!) that now we can groove under a pristine master-rip. You are so good to all of us. I love it, love it, love it so!!
All smiles and goosebumps!
Jeff
Yay one of my favorites songs!!! thanks for upgrade this Maxi Single Rip. Hope you’re doing better. I though you’re going to take a break for a while to recover, but your sharing spirit is awesome, Thanks again DjPaulT
You’re welcome Partytimeboy. Well they do things much different now days gallbladder surgery is pretty easy just glad i’m back 🙂
This is such a good record, I bought the UK 12″ back then, played it to death!
Thanks as always for the rip, Paul.. 🙂
You’re welcome Ex15 🙂
