Excelente aporte amigo. Lime es uno de mis grupos preferidos de los 80s.
Muchísimas gracias
I don’t recall Lime either and got this impression listening.
Is it me or does this sound like “From a whisper to a scream” ?
Another dance classic.
I think you know what I mean. 😉
What a great song! One of my all time favourite dance tunes (with Bobby “O”‘s “Whisper to a Scream”).
Haven’t heard radio edit before, but it is as good as the longer version. Thanks Paul!
awesome hot track! Thanks for quality hits DJ PAUL.
Please set post Dee D. Jackson – Automatic Lover!
Maybe Macho (A Real, Real One) – Celi bee, thanks!!!
Oooooh, I just love it. Categorized as “Italo Disco” you find it on many many Eighties samplers over here. Such a great song. Thank you, Paul. Can´t wait to see “Angel Eyes” on your site. 🙂
Thanks for the discover. I only knew the cover of that song by the eurodance group La Bouche. The track was on their 2nd album “A Moment Of Love”.
And the list goes on… What a great month from DjPaulT! Thank you, thank you, thank you…
Infinite thanks Paul, one of my favorites from the 80’s.
What a wonderful week in BTG!!!!!
Thanks, regards, Rafa
Paul, it’s like you’ve read my mind! I recently picked up a Joy Winter single, “He Said, She Said”, and delved into her work with Lime and discovered them and absolutely LOVE them! So amazing of you to post this, can’t wait to listen! Thank you for all you do 💘
You are most welcome Raymond 🙂
Always good to see some Lime. Thank you Paul 🙂
You’re welcome, Jay. It’s good to see you 🙂
Lime has always been a “guilty” pleasure of mine, ever since I heard their “Your Love” on the radio and in the film, “Summer Lovers.” They had such a fantastic trade off with the gruff vocals of Denis LePage and the squeaky sex-kitten vocals of Denise. Great production too. I remember buying “Lime’s Greatest Hits” on vinyl which was spearheaded by, I think Mark Kamins and The Latin Rascals. This is music of Summer, like that cool burst of citrusy lime. Thanks so much for this perfect “cocktail” of fizzy beats and euphoric vocals Paul. Pleased as a limeade punch!!!… Read more »
You’re welcome, Jeff. 🙂
I have to say, I’ve never heard this song or even heard of it or the band. 🙂 Very strange for a track that claims to have been on the Billboard Top Dance in 1985 for 11 weeks and peaking at #6. I grew up in CT and listened to club songs and remixes non stop since about 1982. Granted I was only 15 so could not go to the clubs, however, I listened 2-3 nights a week…every week… to the “live from ____ club” radio broadcasts on 95.7, 101.3, and Hot 97 in NY in their entirety. It certainly… Read more »
Great biographical information Fred. I grew up in NJ and was heavily influenced by the original “Disco 92” WKTU. They had a dance party broadcast live on air called “Studio 92.” During the day, they played various Lime singles, like, “Babe, We’re Gonna Love Tonight” and “Your My Magician” too. When the dance format change happened, thankfully, there was Hot 103.5 which brought back dance to the Tri-State area. Then, Hot 97 happened which gave them a stronger signal. Dance was HUGE back then, however, Hot 97 became more Hip Hop. It wasn’t until the “New KTU” came back on… Read more »
Denis Lepage made “Dancin’ The Night Away” From Voggue too, in 1981!;-)
Thanks for the info and kudos, Jeff! Yes, I’m a huge remix fanatic…loved music since I war born and collecting 45s in the mid/late 70s and then 12″s in 80s. What I loved about those live broadcasts were not only the 12″ mixes (which I knew and still know to this day every. single. beat. and. break) but the way some of them were live mixed as well as others that were from remix services such as Ultimix or DMC or a 100 other back in the day. I even liked the KISS Mixes (Chris Walsh) and the custom mixes… Read more »
You’re welcome, Fred. I have nothing left to say as Jeff said it all below lol 🙂
