I also like the Original Mix (there is a lot of mixes of this song) but have a soft spot for instrumentals too.
Is it only me clearly detecting a Dead Or Alive song in this? I haven´t played my standard 12inch in ages and I don´t remember ever thinking “This should be sung by Pete Burns!”. Up to now. 🙂 Thank you, Paul. Oh, and I certainly prefer the original mix, too.
I prefer the Original Mix too, although the club mixes offer a good alternative.
Great song also.
Thanks Paul 🙂
Excellent very good…!!
Thank you, as always! I didn’t catch the band at the time somehow but recently discovered them. CherryRed Records released a 5CD anthology this year and I love exploring bands with collections like that
So much great music! Much appreciated
I couldn’t wait to rush on home to download this classic I’ve been coveting for years. I was a Kissing The Pink fan and was so surprised when I heard this a few years later!! This is just so splendid of you, Paul, to bring this one back from the “groove yard”! It’s Housey, but fun and I love the chant!! I am very, very excited!!
Have a fabulous weekend, Paul, Retro Hound, Martika, Song And Dance, Daniel, Grant, Raymond, RtrHG, Muff Diver, ING, and all the rest!!! Here’s to sweating to Paul’s rips this weekend!!!
Jeff
I’ll drink to that! LOL! Have a great time Jeff, and everyone here 🙂
You’re welcome, Jeff. I prefer the Original Mix the Harding mixes sound a bit dated. The original mix has more of a new-wave feel to me. Have a great weekend 🙂
I’m so like you, Paul. I prefer the original mix myself! I love New Wave!!
Jeff
Count me in too! Thank you Paul!! Have a great weekend Paul, Jeff, Martika, DJ XREY and everyone else here!!
I hope you guys also have a great weekend… and I couldn’t agree more with regard to the original mix (but remixes are always welcome to bring in some diversity, when you’ve listened to the same song too much). KTP is one of those inexplicably underrated bands for me. They should be included on any good 80s mix!
BLESS YOU. I’ve been working with a very rough, low-res mix of that killer Garage Mix since the Napster days. Phil Harding’s finest hour, imo. Thank you!
You’re welcome, David happy to help 🙂
Many thanks for this 12″! Garage Mix was played EVERYWHERE back in the time. A favourite club track that stood very well among the “house-y” hits of the era. Phil Harding’s “golden” years…
But…NO disco Friday? Paul, please don’t tell me you’re stopping it! 🙁
oops, I got my days mixed up I thought it was only Thursday lol. No, I’m not stopping I just had a brain lapse. 🙂
Pheeewww!
Summer will do that to ya! It’s hard to remember which day of the week it is!
Brilliant! Thank you! I still have my West German cd of the album from back in the day.
You’re welcome 🙂
Thank you for another amazing classic! I love this late-80s dance music that was heavily influenced by the gothic/EBM scene, but somehow maintains a slight pop sensibility!
I’m so glad I have this in DjPaulT quality now! THANK YOU!!!
You’re welcome, Martika have a great weekend 🙂
