Would you happen to have the 12″ singles for “Crazy in the Night”, “Abadabagango” and “Divided Hearts”?
Sorry I couldn’t post a comment yesterday, but I had to first thing this morning! I’m loving this pop princess week Paul. I love this song. I remember seeing “That’s Dancing” with my family all those years ago and I think it’s a marvelous film showcasing so much extraordinary dance sequences. This was a fantastic record and I’m thrilled to have the dance mix courtesy of you Paul. Kim Carnes is a treasure! I’m so pleased that you haven’t forgotten about her and her contribution to the pop and dance music genres. Your site is a time capsule for dance… Read more »
Thank you, Jeff. I have never seen this film so I will have to check it out I know it must be good if you approve of it 🙂
Such an underrated singer (over here anyway). I love her voice and the way she sings. Great song. Hadn´t heard it in ages. It brings me up on my feet again after the flu has had a firm grip on me for two weeks and I had to stay home on sick leave (PAID sick leave, of course. This is not the Third World… 🙂
Thank you Paul. ITD really brought my spirits up.
I am so happy you are feeling better Song_and_Dance. 🙂 Kim is pretty underrated in the USA too. She only scored two top ten hits on the Billboard Hot 100 “Bette Davis Eyes” (#1) and “More Love” (#10).
Kim Carnes meets DISCO! Very nice, thanks for sharing, Paul.
You’re welcome Walter C 🙂
My jaw dropped when I saw this in my email and as I am always grateful for what you share with us on here, I want to say OMG.. thank you so much for this post. This is one of my personal favorite asides from ‘Bette Davis Eyes’, of course and ‘Abadabadango’. Speaking of which, do you have ‘Abadabadango’? If you do, hope it is one of the tracks you plan to share on here someday. 🙂
The invitation to dance is accepted. 🙂
Thank you musicdivaSF for all of the support you give. I do have more Kim to post in the future including ‘Abadabadango’.:)
Another great song! I played this 12″ to death back when it first came out. So glad to add a 24-bit rip to my collection with this!
Happy to make it available David G 🙂
MORE KIM CARNES!!!
You can’t go wrong with her… LOL
I will post more in the future 🙂
Is this a women week now DJPaul?
If so can we have some ANNE CLARK Maxi’s, please?
Thanks.
You’re welcome Liam 🙂
Great choice. I love the eighties singles of Kim Carnes. The Extended Dance Mix was released in 2001 on the remastered edition of the album “Cafe racers”. The Instrumental Mix instead is exclusive. “Abadabadango” is my favourite single by Kim. Do you have this 12″? The remixes of “Abadabadango” have never appeared on CD. Thanks a lot Paul for another great week of amazing posts.
You’re welcome, Daniel. Yes I have “Abadabadango” will try to post it at some point 🙂
