RIP Gred Khin 8-13-24
OH HELLS YES !!! Thanks so much. This rip is more than welcome, thank you sir.
This wasnt on that fantastic Groove Line Luongo comp and it shouldve been.
BTW. You have my email if you dont have it and fancy it w/ scans…Winky smiley face.
Love the Weird Al spoof and this track is still played at the Sack-N-Save and other groceries!
Andrea True Connection still gets paid off of More, More, More which is the theme of a Canadian store.
Very nice. You can find the Weird Al track on my site 🙂
Thanks Paul for this classic track! Luongo is my favorite remixer after Tom Moulton. Always loved to mix Weird Al’s “I Lost On Jeopardy” into the dub side and watch the floor freak out!
You’re welcome dj xrey 🙂
Fantastic post, Paul!! This is one of those rare 12″s where the Instrumental is really a Dub AND it’s like a better remix than the Dance Mix. 🙂 Any chance we could get White Lines (Don’t Do It) soon? There are numerous 12″s with various instrumentals/breaks/beats. I’d be super appreciative! Have a fantastic day and thanks again for this awesome 12″!!
Hey, Fred
I have a sealed original copy of the “White Lines” 12″ I will bust it open and see what I can do. Many Sugar Hill records do not have the best pressings hopefully this one will not give me any trouble. Stay tuned 🙂
I agree. Especially, my favorite labels like Tommy Boy and Streetwise. I have bought duplicates because the pressings were bad, and you know, they weren’t that great either. Sometimes I would have to look for the import. It seems more quality control overseas than in our own country. Plus, they were pressed at 45 rpm.
Jeff
Thanks! And yes, I totally agree with you (and Jeff) about some the pressings. Very sad. I’ve tried to find cd collections over the years from the Labels but even some of them have poor quality which is stunning.
Long time waiting for this post.
Epic Rip and Remastering!
Maestro John Luongo delivering, as usual!
Congrats, Paul!
Thank you, Medeirex 🙂
“Kihn” is misspelled in the post title.
I was wondering whether anyone else might notice.
What a fun song! And the remix is outstanding, thanks!!
You’re welcome, Raymond 🙂
Paul, you don’t know how long I’ve been waiting for this record to finally make an appearance on your Burning The Ground site. It’s an all-time favorite and I’m glad you have included the instrumental. John Luongo is an outstanding remixer. WOW!!! I am thrilled to get this from you. You are absolutely the best.
Big Hug,
Jeff
You’re welcome, Jeff. Big Hug! 🙂
