BURNING THE GROUND EXCLUSIVE 1985
“Exposed to Love” is a dance single by the female dance-pop trio Exposé. Released in December 1985, it was the original group’s second single after “Point of No Return,” with Alé Lorenzo singing lead vocals. “Exposed to Love” remains the only single to feature vocals from the original group’s lineup (“Point of No Return” was subsequently re-recorded with the second lineup) and is featured as such on the album Exposure. Ann Curless, Gioia Bruno, and Jeanette Jurado, the group’s current members, share the lead vocals during live performances.
The single charted on the U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Singles Sales and Hot Dance Club Play charts at #19 and #12, respectively. Billboard named the song #69 on their list of 100 Greatest Girl Group Songs of All Time.

Love this song, Paul, thank you. It was a really long time before I knew that the lead vocalist was an “original” member of the group and not one of the trio that popularized Exposé in ’87 and beyond. Killer synth and the extended version and the dub really showcases it nicely. Great rip!
expose…midnight star…billy ocean…starpoint…awesome music from the mid 80’s…post some ready for the world, atlantic star, keep it going…
Thank you again for this great delivery. impeccable sound. Greetings.
Aaahhh, sweet and beautiful memories of youth. Great song and utterly awesome transcription.
Thank you, Alberto 🙂
I just had to write back in saying I still love the tones playing for the last 16 seconds…I often used them as the intro with multiple 12″ copies. Still gives me the chills hearing them as you know some sick beat should follow! Too bad there were never any mixes of ETL that started like the Come Go With Me dub mix. Man, that dub intro was the bomb!
The ETL dub is great to have, too!
Thanks so much again!
Epic thanks for coming back for a second comment Fred 🙂
That one certainly stayed under my radar. Love the original voices. Nice one. Thank you Paul.
You’re welcome Song_and_Dance 🙂
Oh boy, the chills are in mass effect here Paul!! This is probably my favorite Expose single. I loved the original line-up of vocalists and the ever-fresh sounding productions of Lewis A. Martineé. Wow Paul, I can’t begin to thank you for these kinds of 12-inches. I’m a huge electro/Latin Hip Hop fan and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you ever so much for presenting so much of the music I identify with. Absolutely AWESOME!!!
Have a great weekend!!!
Jeff
