Great rip as always, Paul, and I don’t mean to look a gift horse in the mouth, but have you got everything wired up correctly? Your right and left channels are swapped as compared to my own rip of this same record. Just checkin’.

LOL never mind… of course you got it right. I checked my record instead of my rip and it matches yours. So now I have to figure out how long I had my rig wired up backwards. I’m going to blame it on the drugs! Haha

What a treat it is to hear these again. The 24bit rips sound fantastic.

Cheers Paul 🙂

I don’t really remember this song coming out, but have always been quite fond of it, and lately I often find myself idly singing it In the kitchen.

Will have to check out the Erasure cover too, haven’t heard that.

Thanks Paul for all these fantastic postings. It took me back to my young, energized & happier clubbing days. No doubt I have all these classics in various format, it’s nice to listen to them every now and then. A very special way to celebrate Pride month.

I was so p*** off that “High Energy” kicked Frankie´s “Two Tribes” off the no 1 position in the German charts in August 1984 that I decided to hate that song 🙂
But that was an obvious lie to myself. I loved it and still love it 🙂

Another gem Paul!!! Love this record; I loved the entire TSR catalog as well. Great end to a great week! The rhythm track kind of reminded me of “In The Navy” by the Village People at times too. Also loved Erasure’s cover of the tune. You certainly know your NRG classics!!

Have a terrific weekend!!
