NO_NO_NOTORIOUS! was the first album I bought on CD without having had it on tape or lp first. Good thing too as I would have worn out a non-digital copy! I played the album so much it drove my sister crazy. I even, because it did not include lyrics, spent countless hours transcribing the lyrics onto spiral bound notebook paper! I LOVE this album, and I love the 1986-1990 much maligned era of DD! I too wanted American Science to be a single!
Thank you, Paul 🙂
Thanks for yet another DD 12″ from Notorious! I wasn’t a big fan of this remix when I first heard it — it felt a little too chaotic. It has grown on me quite a bit over the years, however.
I always thought the Daniel Abraham mix was a letdown. It had that odd intro that always bothered me because it wasn’t a DD sound. So when the Rascal mix came out it blew my mind. The cutting and editing reminded me of The Reflex and Wild Boys mixes by Nile Rodgers. This was the perfect mix for Notorious thanks for posting.
My only problem with the Rascals 12″ is I thought it was a bit lazy adding the two previous b-sides they should have included a Dub or Instrumental on this one. Still a great 12″.
…and I think you have used the previously ripped and shared b-sides from the other 12″ for this. Am I correct?
Another fantastic post, Paul…..Latin Rascals Mix is my favourite “Notorious” remix, everything on this era was great, and in 1988 I watched many times “Working For The Skin Trade” on VHS, then in 2010 finally had it on DVD from the “Notorious” 2CD/DVD boxset…..excellent concert.
Thank you, John 🙂
Notorious BIG sampled the previously posted version.
Those MTV Duran Duran videos are still classic and the James Bond OST song is a winner.
Converting these for listening on offline box with space limits and they sound incredible at 320kbps mp3 with good headphones. Showing up as lossless quality in spectrum analyzer.
HQ is best quality and the DJ Paul archive is HQ!
Thank you for your comment Disco Boots 🙂
Thanks, Paul, nice work, greatly done.
Btw, Richard H. Kirk from Cabaret Voltaire has died from Corona RIP.

You’re welcome, Hugo 🙂
These are my boys, Tony and Albert – THE LATIN RASCALS. Thank you Paul for re-ripping this classic song by Duran Duran. The edits here are tough and fierce and get me all hyped up.
Jeff
You’re welcome, Jeff. this is one of the Rascals finer examples of their work 🙂
