Paul, you seem to know a lot about the music industry, and I was wondering if you know the answer to this question. DM are currently re-releasing the 12″ Singles Collection boxes for each album. They seem to be the exact same track lists as the boxes 2-3 years ago. Do you know if there is any difference at all between the versions from a couple of years ago versus the new ones that are currently being released (other than perhaps packaging)??
OMG! Excellent choice! Excellent work!
Do you have their ‘Strangelove’ Promo 12″ with the Phil Harding “Pain Mix” edit?
Hi Paul, I see you are bringing out the big guns, this week. Almost all the groups you have been posting are in my top 10 favorite ones. I usually have 50-100 releases for each of those groups. Depeche mode is no stranger to me. But because they have so many releases it’s impossible to keep track of all of them. I only liked the 1981-1985 era, and after black celebration, which was a very good album. I hated music for the masses, never let me down again, and the guitar sounds. But strangelove, and behind the wheel were the… Read more »
Excellent. Very Thanks.
Thank you very much!!!
Wow gracias Pault por esas versiones dub y beatmastes
Nice!!1 Besides having the UK issue, I have a rare promo Cd with megamixes with Route 66! GREAT memories around this album!!!
Aww yea 1987 style. C.O.D. on vinyls ordered from NYC was a fun highlight from that time. Once it was a bit short on payment for a Cure picture disc and a neighbor helped me out while the delivery driver waited. I like the Music for the Masses D.M. tribute even though it isn’t from the 1980’s.
Recognized the Max Headroom voice from a movie the other day and it turned out to be him.
I keep some Rubik’s Cubes by the extra big azz teevee just in case.
Wow, once again… I really love these sire promo 12″ singles with exclusive mixes. Of course to add to the confusion, the US DJ mix and the UK DJ mix are different. Thank you Paul.
Yes…plus the UK DJ mix is only available on a 7″ single. Even worse is that mix is not even labeled. The only way to know is to check the inscription of the inner ring just outside of the label.
Some great classics this week Paul. 🙂 Thank you.
Always good to heard DM.
Hi DjPaulT
NICE!
Depeche Mode – Route 66, the Beatmasters Mix next? Thanks A LOT anyway
keep safe

Big love and big thanks for this. I’m excited about the DJ 7″ (of course 🙂 ). You’re amazing! Stay warm!
Thank you very much Paul. Instant download, I’m so excited about this dub version, can’t wait listening.
It was such a great sight seeing the Sire Records label pop up and then seeing that it was Depeche Mode is really making my day super!! Love this song and the album it’s culled from. Many fond memories go with this tune. Martin Gore writes (again!) about dominance and submission like he only can. It’s another “Master And Servant” metaphor that I enjoy. So happy this is a Shep Pettibone remix. Never did hear this so I am jazzed to check it ourt Great that Gail King did the edits. She’s the first female editor, that I know of… Read more »
You’re welcome, Jeff. That would be a fun disc 🙂
Thank you Paul. This is such a fantastic song. I’m surprised it only reached #21 in the UK.
And in the USA it did not chart until combined with “Route66” reaching only #61 which is a crime in my opinion.
Thank you Paul!!!, i think the Dub Version is only here.
I think you are correct Guss 🙂
