Meticulously Remastered!

Originally posted: February 3, 2011

“Change of Heart” is the second single released by American singer Cyndi Lauper from her second album, True Colors in November 11, 1986. The single went gold in the US and peaked at No. 3 in the Billboard Hot 100. The song has become a fan favorite and Lauper still often performs it. Lauper re-recorded it acoustically, and her official site later made it available free as a digital download.[citation needed]

Popular remixes by Shep Pettibone were also released. A music video was filmed in Trafalgar Square in London. It features Lauper and her band performing the song in front of a large group of people.

The song features backing vocals by The Bangles.

Another moment of synchronicity Paul. I have been thinking and wishing about this track recently and here you are, delivering it with a vengeance. I too am so impressed with the people involved in this track. I did hear this one a lot on NYC radio and on the mix shows. It’s a powerhouse of a track. I am so stoked to hear it. Thank you tons Paul…………………………………..AGAIN!!! You blow me away with your choices. I love how we sync up a lot of the times!

Wow! What a fantastic list of credits! Thanks for the great post, Paul! I remember this song fondly, but always felt it never got a lot of airplay (in CT). Even on the 80s flashback shows of the past 20 years, this song is so rarely played even with its high chart numbers. The chorus is one of those choruses that you never forget. There is so much passion in her singing of the chorus.

At 6:37 it is SOOOOOO Bangles! 🙂

Thanks again!

Ah, one of my favourite Cyndi Lauper 12 inches. Such a great Pettibone remix. Thanks for the new transfer Paul. Very happy with it.
