Otra obra maestra de tu parte DJ Paul. Ojalá un día no my lejano lo puedas subir PERFECT LOVER … otro de sus grandes hits. Una banda de chicas por lejos las mejores del estilo libre. Abrazos desde Ecuador.

Ish, is the man!! I just love this guy!! From his disco group, Foxy, in the 70’s, to his New Wave experiment with, Oxo. Of course when he collaborated with John Robie on his “On This Corner” LP, that was just my favorite thing Ish had done. Then when he did the Latin thing for Company B,he really had wonderful success! Looking forward to hearing this mix of which I don’t think I know. I love the song, so I am intrigued by another remix!! Thanks so much Paul for the coolest of music. And, more Ish records, please!! Have… Read more »

Thanks Jeff for enlightening us to Ish Ledesma’s legacy! “Get Off” was a ’70s club banger, but I was unaware he was in Oxo even though we played “Whirly Girl” for about a month when Geffen released it. Enjoy your weekend!

Good morning, dj xrey,

You are most welcome. It’s funny about Oxo. I do remember at the time when the track first came out and I was listening to American Top 40 with Casey Kasem, there was a story of how Ish heard young kids on the playground singing along to “Get Off” that he wanted to change a bit from singing suggestive songs. The stuff I remember!

Have a great day and week!
