BURNING THE GROUND EXCLUSIVE 1986
“C’Mon! C’Mon!” is a 1986 song by Bronski Beat from their album, Truthdare Doubledare. In its review of the album upon its release, Billboard identified “C’mon C’mon” as one of the stronger tracks that “should find mainstream and alternative fans.” Despite being recognized as one of the stronger tracks on the album, the single only reached No. 20 in the UK pop chart, indicating Bronski Beat’s popularity was beginning to wane. In the US the single became the groups last charting single peaking at #17 on the Billboard dance chart in July 1986.

Thank you very much Paul
Paul, you made my day – three days in a row!!!
As a big Jimmy Somerville fan I also liked the John Jøn era of Bronski Beat
and now you delivered all the missing tracks (and more).
THANK YOU!
Faaaantastic!
I could listen to Bronski Beat all week. And I’m hoping we will. 🙂
You know there was a third singer after Jon Jon left. Best left untouched.
Never heard the third singer 🙂
Nr.3 was Jonathan Hellyer and
Nr.4 is Stephen Granville
What a rare record! Paul, you are the greatest rare vinyl collector of all time.
I have a question, you have more Depche Mode records?
Hi Richard yes indeed I do have more Depeche Mode 🙂
Another Bronski classic! I wonder if (hope) you have “I’m Gonna Run Away From You” from 1990 – can’t seem to find that anywhere.
I will look JestaCat but I think I stopped after this single.
I envy those who haven’t heard these tracks before.
Hit that perfect beat DjPaulT!! Once again, you properly THRILL and BEGUILE your followers with the records you select. Thanks for opening up your “vaults” of treasured twelves to share with us. It’s always, candy to our ears, music for our souls and energized rhythms for our hearts with your choices. As I mention almost constantly, it’s like the ultimate record collection appearing before our eyes (EARS!) on a daily basis. I am so charmed by each daily edition of what you release and the care and the stringent techniques applied to lost, but SOOOO deserving records that need to… Read more »
Thank you Jeff always a sweet heart 🙂
Thanks Paul, never heard yet the “Tropical Mix” of “C’mon! C’mon!”. I only have the CD version of the album “Truthdare Doubledare” with the extended mix of this and “Hit That Perfect Beat”.
You’re welcome Manu 🙂
Hmm, I had forgotten about this one. I do like the tropical beat even though it makes me want to put on a Kid Creole record instead. I remember buying Truthdare Doubledare without knowing about the singer change. My friends and I were in someone or another’s driveway with a boombox on top of a car listening to it. I was disappointed then, but now it sounds pretty good to my older (wiser?) ears. The Ian Levine remix, as Daniel mentioned, is the thing I’m excited about. Thanks Paul!
You’re welcome Mothloop. Honestly I did not like this song when I first heard it guess I was comparing it to “Hit That Perfect Beat” it just didn’t have the same energy. Now older I really like it a lot. The b-side track “Something Special” is also a nice nob album track 🙂
Thanks Paul for this great post. I have the 12″ single but without the Levine Remix.
You’re welcome Daniel 🙂
Thanks for another great choice!
You’re welcome David 🙂
Great to see Bronski Beat with Jon on vocals getting the BTG treatment. Had this on UK 7″ since 1986 but never on 12!
Thanks Neil have fun listening 🙂
