Thanks for this. I was lucky enough to see them perform at The World in Manhattan.

What an amazing post! Growing up I love Blue Mercedes and to me I draw the similarity with the likes of Bros. Love dancing (in my room) to this track. Thanks Dj PaulT!

As always Paul, another fantastic post, you really pick songs that seem to jolt my memory, songs that I loved in the day, and some that I’ve forgotten about, thanks to your posts, this has reminded me of what great tracks we had growing up.

Have you got Monsoon – Ever So Lonely 12″. It was a hit in the UK, Europe and Australia but was never released as a single in the USA, Released March 1982.

I’ve always had a little bit of love/hate for Blue Mercedes. I liked this track at the time but they did come across a bit naff. I remember at the time they were being pushed as the new Wham! but sadly they were nowhere near as good!!!

THX Paul,
a question: is the DEF B4 Dishonour mix the same of Daktari mix 6.51?

have you got also “Love is the gun” (US release)?
many thanks and RESPECT!

BE.D12″, although the same in length, the two mixes are completely different. The Daktari Mix starts with an acapella intro.

Please can I be so cheeky as to request the 12” of Reputation by Dusty Springfield if you have it available Paul. This is another one of my all-time favourites.
Many thanks and with hugs x

Was singing this song at work earlier today and thought to myself about putting a request in for it…
Logged on here and lo & behold here it is! How spooky is that Paul and it’s not even Halloween yet! lol
Seems to me you are so multi-talented that you’re even doing requests now before they’re even asked for!
MASSIVE THANKS ANYWAY MY FRIEND!!! xx

I am thrilled to be back commenting on BTG Paul!!! And what a tremendous track to come home to too!! Actually, the past week was an incredible confection of awesome cuts and tracks that amaze me all and the same. You really do seem to have it all; all our favorites and must haves. I always get a bit flabbergasted when I come here as there’s always new discoveries and treats in every nook and cranny. You are better than an English Muffin Paul (Look out Thomas’ as there are more buttered beats to sink our “ear-teeth” into!!) Thank you… Read more »
