I wonder if the writer is the same CF Turner of Bachman Turner Overdrive fame?

Holy Wow, Paul!!! Thanks extra much for doing this, totally appreciated–TOTALLY! As usual, your work is applaud-worthy! I have to admit that I’m pleasantly surprised by this mix. I was prepared for a choppy edit of the LP version, but an actual club mix with some post-prod and thought behind it blew my mind. This is simply another fine, fine example of a record company dropping the ball when it came to choosing singles for potential hits. Dana: You’re the only person I’ve ever heard mention “Reach For Me,” which is also my favorite track from the excellent “Something to Talk About” album. Congratulations on your excellent taste! You’re right: It should have been a single, not the b-side to the inferior “Who’s Leaving Who.”

Using Audacity, I re-edited “Reach For Me” to feature a more rhythmic, robust beginning (which I stole from the instrumental break in the bridge). It gives the song a vibe that’s reminiscent of “Taking It All Too Hard” by Genesis.

I’m quite curious about today’s posting Paul. To me, Anne Murray will bring back memories of her “You Needed Me” and other Adult contemporary hits from back in the day. I do like Jack White as a producer because of his involvement with Laura Branigan, so my ears are open and ready. Sunch a U-Turn in sound compared to Grace’s “Nipple To The Bottle” but I’m game for something vastly different. Thanks for the variety once again.

Have a good weekend!
