Just a couple of weeks ago I played my vinyl copy of the album, I had forgotten what a good song “I Engineer” was. Awesome to see the remix here.
Another slice of 80’s heaven. Thank youoooooooooo for making wolfie Howl with delight again xxx
Thanks again!
Thank you, Paul. This is my favorite single of theirs and great to have the extra mixes.
Can’t wait to hear this one.
Thank you Dj PaulT for this post. Animotion was one of my fave groups growing up and this one is such a treat to see today. 🙂
You’re welcome MusicgivaSF 🙂
Both songs have been very big in Europe, excellent mixes as an addition to the original versions, the huge synth riff from Obsession must be one of the trademark sounds of the 80s Synth-pop!
Also can only recommend this Best of CD release as it has all this mixes in a very good mastering quality, note that the Remix and Dub version of I Engineer appear as one track on this CD.

Don’t understand why they left it as one track. That’s not how it appears on the original single.
that’s what’s beautiful about this release. So far, I only had the version where the two mixes are blended to a 10 minute remix. I am glad to finally have them separated!
thank you again
Nice, thanks Paul!!
you’re welcome Cory 🙂
Nice to hear this. Nearly everyone thinks of Obsession when they think of Animotion.
This is another great track from them. Thanks for spot-lighting this Paul 🙂
You’re welcome Jay65 🙂

Great post, DJ Paul.
More electro-pop records!!!
…
Have you got Alisha’s “Baby talk” (remixed by Shep Pettibone and probably with a little editing in the middle by The Latin Rascals) or any other 12″ of her?
I need of your sound quality for this tracks.
Respect.
I will try to post it as soon as I can 🙂
Wow!! Paul, coming here everyday is truly an obsession of mine. I love how you select perfect 12-inch remixes to keep us all thoroughly delighted. I only know this song by seeing it listed on the charts but never had the opportunity to hear the thing. I’m super pyched about it too. I love Thompson and Barbiero as remixers. They are from the rock side of things and this makes their mixes ones that I covet. PLUS, the flip-side is Mark Berry and he’s just so awesome. This guy has appeared on early electro-pop records by Alisha, worked with John… Read more »
This is a pretty good set of mixes jeff. I just know you will like them. Have fun 🙂
