They made a great duo and with Jam and Lewis on board too. Looking forward to hearing this later.
Thanks Paul 🙂
You’re welcome 🙂
Simply beautiful. Sounds stellar. Beautiful scans. Love this song. Thank you Paul!
Thank you 🙂
Thanks for this song, Paul. I am looking forward to hearing it!!

You’re welcome 🙂
What a song.
Cherrelle and Alex were a fantastic duo produced by two geniuses.
Thanks Paul.
You’re welcome 🙂
Awesome post! Alex was the the lead singer for Flyte Tyme before Prince refashioned them into The Time… this why when Jam & Lewis started producing their company was Flyte Tyme Productions. Absolutely love their productions for Cherrelle and O’Neal both!
Thanks for the info 🙂
Thanks for the great post, Paul!! And on a Saturday, too! I actually thought you might post Saturday Love. 🙂 If anyone else here is reading this, does anyone have Paul’s rip of Toto – Stranger In Town in FLAC? It was posted in 2013 and I thought I had it. Or maybe Paul might re-rip it some day. Anyway, thanks again Paul for your hard work and hopefully someone will see my post for Toto. Have an awesome weekend everyone!
Thanks, Fred. I posted “Saturday Love” back in July 2022 links for 16-bit are still available. I will try to re-rip Toto 🙂
Hi Fred, I still have Paul’s beautiful rip of the Strangers in Town 12″, if you’d like something to tide you over until he does his magic on it once again. I uploaded it to WeTransfer here.
Wow!! Thank you SOOOOO much!!! Have a great day!
Thanks so much for this – it’s a great companion to the Saturday Love 12″.
Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis – two genius songwriter / producers. I bet Cherrelle eventually felt a bit neglected when Jam & Lewis became such sought-after producers, having huge success with artists like Alexander O’Neal, Human League, Force MD’s….and of course Janet Jackson. They made some great records with Cherrelle, but she never really hit it “big”.
You’re welcome Cherelle is overlooked and is a much better vocalist than Janet she should have been bigger. 🙂
Yeah I remember when Robert Palmer covered her hit I Didn’t Mean To Turn You On!!!
Thank you so very much for this! So many great uploads this week.
It would be fantastic to see more R&B/Soul/New Jackswing uploads 🙂
Thanks so much for everything!
You’re welcome 🙂
many thanks!
You’re welcome 🙂
