BURNING THE GROUND EXCLUSIVE 1985
“All Of Me For All Of You” is the 1985 debut single by American R&B group 9.9 (American slang which means “nearly perfect”). The group consisted of members Margo Thunder, Leslie Jones (1962-2013), and Wanda Perry. The group formed in 1985 in Boston, Massachusetts. “All Of Me For All Of You” reached #5 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
The group performed on Soul Train, American Bandstand, and Solid Gold. They also provided backing vocals for a single with Patti LaBelle called “Shy”. The group continued until 1987, when disputes over the material, production, and personal matters forced the group to disband.
**Side B track one is titled “Dub Version” on the sleeve and “Re-mixed Version” on the record label.

Dear, this topic is appreciated. I was looking for this version for a long time, I only remember how I danced it in those years. A hug
Schysst med remix av legenden Bob Rosa. Tack!
Hello Paul,
It’s amazing how many 12″ you have in your collection, and it’s always a pleasure to discover new sounds. I really enjoyed this track and was surprised it was 1985, as a lot of similar style recordings didn’t appear in the UK until 1987. Great Track!
Have you please got the following vinyl:
David Bowie & The Pet Shop Boys “Hallo Spaceboy”.
Billboard added ‘hip hop’ to ‘R&B’ charts in 1999.
RUDE!!!!
How is pointing out a fact… rude? Please explain.
OMG, I love it! Somewhere in the realm of Pointer Sisters and Three Degrees. I had never heard this band before but now I might shell out $40 for a copy of the 2016 CD re-release of their album. Thank you for introducing me to something new, Paul!
I downloaded tis 2 times now in both formats but keeps giving men an error when I try to unzip through Stuffit Archive Manager which I’ve always used for Car format. Has anyone els had issues?
Quentin, I’ve had the same problem with Stuffit for a while, and I think Paul acknowledged other people having problems. I switched to RAR Extractor and Expander (free through Apple App store) which solved my problem. Hope you are equally successful with an alternative app. Peace!
omg!!! i haven’t heard that in a while lol good one!!!
I see that this is turning out to be an R&B/Funk week. Your palette for musical diversity is well appreciated. I’m not sure if I know this track but I’m eager to hear it!
Jeff
It’s another fun one with a great hook that sticks in your head. Hope you like it 🙂
Muchas gracias Paul, saludos desde chile.
