In case anyone else is searching, this song was used on a version of the Lisa Frankenstein (2024) trailer. Another version used the song “In The Next Life” by Kim Petras, but this one works much better.

Mil gracias

As a (very) late entry to this post let me congratulate you to uploading this wonderful, wonderful song, Paul. I just can´t stop listening to it. The chorus is spellbinding, my goodness. Needless to say, I had to make my very own extended version using and combining the ON mixes and the volume of my system is getting louder and louder.

I love that song, Paul. I wasn´t around, yet, when you posted it for the first time but Idownloaded the mp3 (!) on Jan 31, 2013. Somehow the record stayed under my radar but not anymore. Thank you, Paul.

I must be honest with you Paul and unfortunately there is something strange with your latest transfers. To my ears, it sounds like some enhancer is being added to artificially emphasize the trebles. “The Promise” is not the only one whose previous version I have preferred after listening and comparing it carefully with the new one.

if you aren’t using 2 copies of this to loop the opening 15 seconds of that Vatican Dub over and over and over again, then are you really DJing? I mean ARE YOU? 🙂

I absolutely love this song and this band! I have their CD from way back in the day. So unfortunate that they made so little music and aren’t more widely recognized these days. Thanks so much for uploading this!

Hi Paul, Thanks so much for all your amazing uploads, day in and day out. This one in particular holds special memories for me. I vaguely remember it coming out but was re-connected to it by a friend who loved it. As a result, I went searching high and low, but what I found doesn’t come close in terms of quality.

Thanks Paul! This is a synthpop exemplar, and wedding setlist staple as well! Sadly, it’s the band that has divorced.

I’ve actually caught Farrington + Mann on tour recently and they seemed to be really nice guys who to talk to fans before and after shows too. I wonder if Mike Floreale is as personable with his version of the band.

This is such a beautiful song. And the remix is one of those rare mixes that extends and enhances the goodness of the original without stepping too far away or wrecking it altogether. As such, it’s one of my Top 20 remixes from all of the 80’s. What a great upload, Paul!

I’m also a huge fan of Sight Of Your Tears from the same album – and the remix – which is one of my absolute favorites. So cool to be able to enjoy this in all of its pristine glory!

I have been waiting for this re-rip. Wonderful song and awesome mixes. This was one of the few CD singles I had the chance to buy back then. The dub mixes are not included on the CD. Thanks a lot Paul.
