Thank you so much for all your wonderful site of many 80’s 12″ singles that I once owned and loved so much. As the trend for CDs came around, i had somewhat left my turntable to switch to CDs….a big regret on my part.

DO please continue with your killer works and hope one day you help us hear the amazing debut single from Vicious Pink Phenomena called “My Private Tokyo” again.

Thank you again!

Great band! They are from my hometown of Leeds! The 8:15 To Nowhere track was first released in 1984 and though The Spaceship Is Over There was recorded in 1984 though off the top of my head I can’t remember if it was released in any form in that year or whether it first surfaced on their 1986 album. Yeah, I have to agree with Mothloop, playing your rips back to back with the digitally remastered versions of the tracks on the Cherry Pop/Cherry Red reissue, I have to say that yours wins hands down! Such a shame that the… Read more »

I love how you all keep us on our toes, guessing what you’ll bring to our ears next! I really love Vicious Pink. Maybe it was their name, sort of like Kissing The Pink, I just love these provocative and sexualized names, but their music was very compelling to me. I remember them being called Vicious Pink Phenomenon at one time too. First heard their song “Cccan’t You See” and was immediately hooked. Thank you Paul for dusting off this classic and making it available to us and also kudos to you for introducing the band to the uninitiated. I… Read more »

OOOOH! Good one, Paul. I’ve always hoped you’d stray into the late eighties EBM/New Beat club stuff. If you could follow this path to the likes of Microchip League (MCL), Voyou and their ilk, I’d be a fan for life. (As if I’m not already. 😉 )

Paul, I was practically obsessed with Vicious Pink some years back. I scoured the shops and the internet for anything I could find. Even though their LP has finally been released on CD, Cherry Red has never impressed me with their mastering. I’ll take your vinyl rips any old day of the week. Thanks as always!
