Oh btw… the digital EP’s that I mention above, even though I haven’t looked at a waveform yet, the loudness has not been pushed to boiling point. The quality sounds wonderful 🙂
Just found a bunch of digital EP’s on I-Tunes Australia… They seem to be recent additions as I’ve been searching out Thompson Twins back catalogue during the past year and I hadn’t seen them there before…. Includes: Bombers In The Sky – 2 Track Single 1989 Sugar Daddy – 6 Track EP 1989 Come Inside / The Saint – 6 Tracks EP 1991 Come Inside – 3 Track Single 1991 The Saint – 6 Track EP 1992 Groove On – 6 Track EP 1992 Play With Me (Jane) / The Saint – 8 Track EP 1992 Play With Me (Jane)… Read more »
Got to see Tom onstage, and it was more than I ever expected. He was jumping about as if it were the old days. Got to speak with him after the show (my gushing with gratitude, really), and he really seemed pleased to be there. Those forlorn hopes I once had of Tom coming back to pop music are suddenly reinvigorated. I’m still riding the high. I so wish I could follow him on tour.
That Dub Mix sounds ace!!
thanks. 🙂
THANK YOU! i love these mixes and always thought they were among shep’s finest. also… anyone else think shep lifted the bassline from “right back to you” by ten city?
Very cool! I don’t believe I’ve heard some of these mixes before. Thanks 🙂

You’re very welcome Christian 🙂
Absolutely awesome. Yeah the new CD tracklisting has just been announced, Tom Bailey tour not far off (i see him next month) so is this just a coincidence? The new double CD is a tad diappointing BTW but i’m definitely in!
Yeah not very impressive. I am not a huge fan of Cherry Red.
DJPaulT: Thank you very, very much. Time permitting, can you provide a link to info on this new compilation release? I can’t find anything on Cherry Red Records site. I even went to Edsel just to be sure..
CAN’T WAIT FOR NYC NEXT MONTH!!!
I think the tracklist was only revealed on the Deluxe Edition facebook and web site.

Stunning, that Tom is doing a tour that isn’t International Observer or dub or world music-based. I never thought I’d live to see this, much less that it’s with Howard Jones and Midge Ure as well (major fan of theirs as ell). It may be in vain, but I hope it’s just that Tom has softened or mellowed in response to fans in recent years, and that this is more a gift to them than he’s hard up for cash in today’s economy. Sadly, the latter is often true as reasons some come back after so many years in obscurity;… Read more »
Cherry Red is hit and miss. Many of their CDs are worse then my own vinyl rips (and they are not up to par with yours)
Thank you, Paul. This one never made it into my collection.
You’re welcome tyson 🙂
Man, I totally forgot about their “Greatest Mixes” album and this release. Thanks Paul for this. It just feels like a 4th of July week!! I’d love for you to perform at a fireworks celebration. Would be so cool to hear what you’d play at the Macy’s Independence Day Spectacular. I hail your musical tastes so much, as they are daring thrilling and very, VERY STIMULATING!!! You “launch” us into ecstasy!!!
Jeff
Thank you Jeff wouldn’t that be a blast. I wonder wahat I would play? hmmm 🙂
I hadn’t realised Matthew Seligman was in the seven-piece Thompson Twins! I knew him only from S.W.9 and for his work with Thomas Dolby.
The extended remix is exclusive to this release and previously not available on CD. The upcoming Remixes & Rarities Cherry Red compilation doesn’t contain any of these Shep’s remixes.
Thanks Paul.
You’re welcome Stefano 🙂
Thanks Paul. Any chance of posting Sister Of Mercy (12″)? By the way a new 2cd collection Remixes & Rarities is out soon. With Tom Bailey touring performing TT songs it’s perfect timing!
You’re welcome Omar!
Another excellent selection! Thank you 🙂
You’re welcome David 🙂
