“I Love America” is 1978 disco hit by Swiss-born performer Patrick Juvet, co-written by Village People lead singer Victor Willis and produced by Jacques Morali. The track peaked at #5 on the disco chart in the United States and #12 in the UK. The song was taken from Juvet’s album “Got A Feeling”, it was also included in the compilation album, A Night at Studio 54, in 1979.

This special one sided US 12″ promo was pressed on translucent blue vinyl.

Sending you belated thanks for this one, Paul. I wish the long version had been included on the Casablanca Records Story box set. Up until now, I assumed the single version was all that existed. (But I should have known better given the record label.)

I bought the 12″ blue disc release back in 1978 here in the UK. Love this track, very atmospheric..

An appropriate choice for today.
Great tune, verrry disco: perfect for Disco Friday! Recorded at the Sigma Sound Studios in New York, the auxiliary branch of MFSB’s home in Philadelphia.

I reckon you also have the rare extended version of ‘Got A Feeling’ in your archives too. The ‘Got A Feeling’ album version has been chopped rather ugly back to 3:30 minutes. The extended version should have been the regular album version.
