BURNING THE GROUND EXCLUSIVE 1983

Never heard this one, thanks a lot – had a little fun with the sticker while listening (btw, there are several familiar Christmas tunes incorporated in the melody or am I mistaken – i.e. at the very start “Chestnuts roasting…”):

Wow wow wow my favorite XMAS song ever !!!Yeah Dear Santa Bring me a man !!! 🙂 Thank you !!
You’re welcome Paolo 🙂
I love how they used the same “It’s Raining Men” formula for this camp Christmas classic!
The video is a hoot too…the good old 80s!
Thanks Paul for posting and launching the Xmas season.
A great Disco Friday Festive post!
Hope you have a great and festive weekend Ric 🙂
I saw Izora and Martha in San Francisco back in the early 80’s. All they had was a hissy tape for accompaniment, but they rocked the house and wowed the audience!!! They were very friendly to the crowd, too. Great times 🙂 Thanks for the post, Paul.
Oh I bet that was a fun show. What a great thing to have to look back on Gianni. Thanks for sharing 🙂
Oh, hell yeah, you better believe this is going into this year’s Xmas Eve Xtravaganza playlist. 😀
Bet that Xtravaganza is going to be fab!!
As a lover of (nearly) all things Paul Jabara, it’s surprising that more of his works weren’t issued on 12″. I’m wondering if that was because the album versions were considered to essentially be 12″ versions.
That could be. A lot of the disco singles used the album version the 12″ luckily this one has a great instrumental.
My favorite Christmas song! Thank you so much!!!
You’re welcome Ryan Happy Christmas!
dear djPaulT!!!!!!!
(stay with us forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
love,love,love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
merry christmas everyone!!!!!
Merry Christmas Giorgio-Greece!!

You’re pulling out all the stops this year Paul. 😀
Can’t wait to here what it sounds like – a Disco Friday I shall for once be partcipating in. 🙂
Thank you!!
You’re welcome Jermajesty. I love this 12″ and have been dancing around all morning while I was working on this. The track just makes you feel good 🙂
Check out the video http://youtu.be/Ko3yBFoTm5c
That is truly remarkable! 😀
I can’t believe that in over 30 years this hasn’t had any wider attention.
Although possibly because, I noticed, if you forget for a second the words they’re singing, it’s the least Christmas sounding song you could get! Just one little sleigh bell in there could’ve made this a massive hit!
