Thank you
Fantastic. Very Tanks Paul
Thanks Paul,
I really liked this song back in the day. It still sounds awesome – perhaps especially because of your great rip. Had kind of forgotten all about “The Hooters.” Now you’ve reminded me.
I don’t want to reduce the value of Paul’s rip, but regarding the release itself the most interesting thing of this UK 12″ is the colorful artwork, which looks nicer than the European version. In fact the labeling “extended versions” is a total deceit, because these are just the album versions, which were even included on the 7″. So except of (back in those days) getting a maybe better sound quality, buying the 12″ instead of the 7″ or the album was kind of a waste of money. Thanks Paul!! The Hooters are always a welcome post, and very appropriate for Halloween!
Interesting…was the title inspired by the Heinlein short story??
According to Wikipedia
Influenced by reggae music, co-writer Eric Bazilian said the band was working on a different song when the idea “just came to us, like a vision.”
Great record for the spooky season Paul. This song recieved quite a few spins on my old college radio station. I haven’t heard it in quite some time so it is very welcome. Love how you pick songs for Halloween that aren’t the same old tired tracks. You are so unique in your musical preferences.
Jeff
Thank you, Jeff for some reason I always thought this single placed higher on the Billboard chart. It was eclipsed by their other single “And We Danced”.
