Hello. I love the FIXX. Is this one still available? Thanks.
Haven´t heard this in quite a while. That´s a nice treat from you for us, Paul. Not my favourite Fixx track but it´s great to hear it again and have it in pristine quality. I would love to hear the percussapella version from the 12inch promo I just saw on discogs. Guess I´ll have to look for it.
Thanks Paul.
You’re welcome Song And dance. I never had the OS 12″ promo so I will possibly try to get a copy.
I love The Fixx. I have this single on CD (german edition). My favorite by them is “Less cities more moving people” produced by Rupert Hine. Thank you Paul.
I like “Red Skies” which gets played often on our local 80s station. 100.9 Totally Awesome 80s
Daniel,
I too love “Less Cities, More Moving People” very much. The 12-inch mix was always one of my favorites by the band. And, like Paul, I have a soft spot for their “Red Skies” as well. Paul just takes me back with these records. Musical memories are indeed my favorite thing in the world.
Have a nice day Daniel. You are such a wonderful person!!
Jeff
I ADORE THE FIX!! Thank you Paul for adding this one to the BTG Discography!! Loved reading what negative1ne wrote about this band too. They are an incredible band that I did get to see once back in the 80’s and they left their impression on me since. I know your Burning The Ground site is a home to all sorts of 80’s (and 90’s) dance music, but it’s the New Wave stuff you post that really drives me wild. Thank you so very much Paul for all the music, light and love you deliver each day. You really mean… Read more »
Thanks so much Jeff 🙂
Thanks Paul. Please post some early Fixx rarities.
You’re welcome Omar 🙂
Hi Paul, I’m so glad you’re back, and have been posting again. It’s good to see that the site is running well. I hope there won’t be any issues with the web hosting. I’m perfectly happy with the 16bit flacs, and i think it was a good solution to the issues. Back to the Fixx, they are an underrated synth rock band, who are mostly known for a few of their earlier hits. They have continued to this day, and are still touring. I saw them last year, and will see them again this year. They still have the original… Read more »
Thanks so much -1 I always appreciate what you have to say. I never found a copy of the German edition of “Built For The Future” it is pretty hard to come by. The US version is a little easier to get though.
Hi Paul,
I can send you the raw audio tracks to clean up if you wish.
They were pretty clean to begin with. My setup is not as great
as your, but you can keep a copy for yourself.
Just let me know, and I’ll post them for you.
