thank you thank you thank you! I’ve been hunting for this one for ages, especially for that elusive b-side.
On Closet 80’s you must have to include Kim Wilde Say You Really Want Me. Thanks Paul!
I love the new name! And I love this song, but I never heard the extended version. Thank you!
Love Obscure stuff, thanks Paul !
Thanks, Paul! I love how utterly filthy this song is despite sounding so quaint and innocent. 🙂
You’re welcome 🙂
Never heard before , But I love the Track If I Only Had a Brain , i have the 7″ single . Thanks
You’re welcome 🙂
Ooh I’m intrigued Paul! I’m not familiar with this closet 80’s single. But I liked the Kid Creole And The Coconuts song in the movie Against All Odds, and it’s only right the Coconuts should strike out on their own! Thank you Paul!!
You’re welcome, Retro Hound. I completely forgot about the “Against All Odds” track. 🙂
I am thrilled for this single you’ve posted, Paul! I like August Darnell and associated artists like, Dr. Buzzard’s Original Savannah Band, Kid Creole and Cory Daye, amongst others. Such a unique sound. Looking forward to this one.
I love the new name too. “Closet ’80’s” is the perfect description for records and artists, especially if it’s tough to track down any sort of information concerning the acts. Brilliant nomenclature!!!
Jeff
Thank you, Jeff. I prefer The Coconuts on their own as a girl group they have a fun vibe. I am happy you like the new series name I think I will be able to be more flexible with what I post. 🙂
Love this new series! It’s cool that we had all these UK/US pop acts in the 80s that experimented with Afro-Caribbean beats and influences. I like these two songs very much. Can’t wait for your future Closet 80s posts!
Thank you, Tim I am looking forward to posting more “Closet 80s”
Closet 80s! Love it! Thanks
Thank you, Raymond 🙂
