Killer!
Thanks Paul, this is one of my favorite songs! I too had no idea there was an edit!
A wholeheartedly thanks for this upload, this is one of my beloved groups. I can’t wait to hear your treatment on this vinyl. Thanks again, mister.
You’re welcome Artcalz 🙂
Wow! Many thanks for this one! The Chameleons are one of my favorite bands and I’ve never heard the edit of Swamp Thing before.
You’re welcome Gomorrahmy 🙂
Hi Paul,
Thanks don’t know this one, but look forward to listening..
You mentioned a little while back about comments on Friday, being few, not sure if it applies to every nation, but here in the UK it’s the most popular night out, hence the focus on other things!!
Thanks as always for the rip, Paul 🙂
You’re welcome Ex15. You could be right 🙂
A stone cold classic. This track was a mainstay on college radio and in clubs in western New York and Ontario way back when. A wonderful group who I was fortunate enough to see live twice, in support of Strange Times, and during the album’s 25th anniversary tour. You’re right, not a scary song necessarily, but what a haunting melody! BTW Reg Smithies, the band’s guitarist did the artwork for most of the band’s LP sleeves. Happy Halloween and thank you as always Paul!
Thank you Mothloop. I remember hearing this track quite a bit on college radio. It’s a puty it didn’t do well in the US. I love the band.
Happy Halloween Paul!! I hope you have a frighteningly fun haunted holiday. I don’t know this record, but I am looking forward to downloading the track to check it out. I absolutely love the cover art. Sometimes, I’m really drawn to the picture on the sleeve which makes me want to buy the record!! Knowing you, this track is gonna be great because you have a fantastic knack to pick music that is, frankly put…..AWESOME!! Thanks for this month’s spooky releases. A lot I wasn’t familiar with and I really appreciated that. I love making new discoveries, especially when they… Read more »
Thank you Jeff please do let me know if your boss does a mix i’d love to hear it. “Swamp Thing” is pretty cool and like you I am drawn to cover art. If it has a cool sleeve I will probably buy it 🙂 It’s not really a scary song but a really nice 80’s alternative track. Love the b-side too. Have a safe and hauntingly fun Halloween.
Paul
