Hmmm, unless my memory fails me I don’t remember this making it on the airwaves in my neck of the woods. Shame, but thanks to Paul I get to experience this.

What a wonderfully quirky off kilter but catchy melody, it doesn’t offer any of your stereotypical pop sensibilities which makes it rather interesting song to listen to.

Thanks Paul!

Perhaps Cdman up there is from the same neck of the woods as I am? Sunday Morning was indeed a HUGE FM radio hit here in Brazil, to the point where I would actually call it one of the biggest hits of the 1980s! The question is, why was it a hit in Brazil but never even charted in Britain? Go figure. Massive thanks for this one, Paul, I really appreciate it.

Yay! for more Bolshoi. Thanks Paul. There is also a remix to A way that is excellent too. https://www.discogs.com/The-Bolshoi-A-Way-II/release/630680

Thanks Paul! Just in case you don’t know I tell you that in addition to this version that is identical to the one on the album, there is an “Extended Mix” or “Dance Mix” that lasts 6:50 and has a completely different intro and extra percussion. I remember using such 12” as a DJ in the 80’s but it’s obviously extremely rare because it does not even figure at Discogs (although it seems to exist in a Brazilian compilation). https://www.discogs.com/Various-Back-to-Rock-Pop-and-New-Wave/release/10216062

That looks to be an unofficial remix. On the back cover it says “Remix by DJ Ricardinho”

Fine, but the version I speak of does not seem to be unofficial, it is not a simple edit or extended fan-made through copy-pasting. I already said, I had the record in my hands when I worked as a DJ in the 80’s. Some people uploaded it to youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Uwe6ZvkGYI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tt2uPZSyk0A

I wasn’t doubting that there is an official remix. As you mentioned, you had the record at one time. I merely wanted to point out that by the looks of the cover art on that discogs linked compilation, that one appears to be unofficial. The youtube link sounds very much like an official remix and is excellent. Thanks for posting the link 🙂

Walter, this is probably the one on the compilation which seems to be a dj re-edit of the official mix you linked from youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sf-2o_n5r08
