This was the first 12″ single I ever bought, at the age of 13. My cousin got it first, and dragged me up to his bedroom + “You’ve got to hear this!” He was right. Brilliant stuff. Thanks for the memories.
Thanks for the share Paul, this is one of my fav 12″ singles, I can picture them playing this at Blitz back in the day! Thank you again 🙂
Great single by the boys, I loved the earlier material in particular.
Thanks Paul 🙂
Spandau Ballet have always been an interesting band, who hung out in their earlier days at the Blitz Club, owned by Steve Strange and Rusty Egan (Visage) and Boy George (Culture Club) was the cloakroom attendant.
Just like their direct rivals Duran Duran, each member is well known and adds that extra something to the music.
To Cut a Long Story Short, The Freeze and Chant No. 1 (I Don’t Need This Pressure On) are my top 3 most played in those New Romantic days.
Another brilliant post Paul
Thank you Paul. My favourite Spandau track.
Long time lurker, first time commenter. Just wanted to thank you for your music shares. Some I love, some not so much, but I can’t help trying to find another hidden gem (so worth it)… Anyhoo, send you an email. Know you are busy, but just wanted to say thanks the only way I could. Used my spam email address here, hope you don’t mind.
One of my all-time favorite remixes! Thanks so much for sharing.
You’re welcome VanceMan 🙂
The perfect new romantic statement from SB. Thanks Paul.
You’re welcome, Omar. 🙂
Yes, Paul!! A very nice surprise. It’s great hearing Spandau Ballet’s earlier stuff. Thank you for this!!
