Thanks Paul, Appreciate the Spandau Ballet, and another classic band. They’ve certainly had their ups and downs, and turmoil now without a lead singer. But back then, they were definitely competitors in the UK, with many other new wave bands in the 80’s. Here in the US, they only had a few hits though. I didn’t catch onto them originally, except for the song ‘Gold’, because I didn’t like ‘true’, and that was about it. But getting some compilations, and boxed sets like the 3cd set Reformation were a great way to catch up on all their mixes, and singles,… Read more »

It seems every time SB comes out of my speaker at work someone comments about how good whatever the song playing is. I thought I was too cool back in their heyday to admit to liking them, but after becoming an old bugger like (probably) most of us here, I couldn’t care less. Fans of Spandau’s Kemp twins might like to see them portray Reggie and Ronnie Kray in the 1990 gangster film The Krays. You all most likely already know that. Stay well people!!!

Thanks Paul – didn’t realise this was a double A-side, not heard Glow before.

Thanks, Paul! The song is very similar to most Duran Duran songs! 🙂

Fantastic, Paul! I don´t think I had ever heard the 12″ remix of “Glow” before. What a great find.
And just as Jeff, I LOVE Muslebound. Doesn´t it just sound like a chain gang song? 🙂 Just great.

Very, very cool Paul. Sometimes when faced with a grueling task of manual labor, I would sing this song “Muscle Bound’ to myself. I’m excited about this 12-inch because of the remix and the extended version of “Glow.” Thank you Paul for another opportunity to check out the great Spandau Ballet.

Jeff
