BURNING THE GROUND EXCLUSIVE 1983

“Communication” was the third single taken from the third studio album “True” by British band Spandau Ballet. In the UK “Communication spent ten weeks on the singles chart peaking at #12. In the United States “Communication” spent seven weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 peaking at #59 on April 21, 1984.

The Japan 7″ features a unique picture sleeve one of two that were released in that country.

Coming to this site, I always feel like Rip Van Winkle, just waking up and confronted with all these sites, sounds and recollections from decades past. Burning The Ground is quite a head trip. I have you to thank, for better or worse, Paul.

I remember hearing this song on the UK Top 40 countdown and always hoped it would break the top 10. The Japan sleeve for this single is great and as you point out is unique.

That is a great cover Paul!! I just marvel at your collection, it’s so eclectic and something that is so valuable!! You’re such an artist yourself with the perfect digital renderings and picture scans. Burning The Ground is such a dazzling site on so many levels. A sonic museum, if you will. Thanks for this track and I like that there is a club edit on the B-side. You’re on fire all-the-time Paul!! You put me in a state of ecstasy 24/7!!!
