Coming to this site, I always feel like Rip Van Winkle, just waking up and confronted with all these sites, sounds and recollections from decades past. Burning The Ground is quite a head trip. I have you to thank, for better or worse, Paul.
I CRINGE at the site of Spandau trying to recreate, copy, bite Duran Duran’s RIO look and style. CRINGE I tell ya!
Love these Japanese releases – thanks Paul.
It looks like Spandau Ballet went on vacation at Club Tropicana.
Thanks Paul. SB were and still are one of my favorite bands. Thanks for these rare vinyl rips.
You’re welcome Omar 🙂
I remember hearing this song on the UK Top 40 countdown and always hoped it would break the top 10. The Japan sleeve for this single is great and as you point out is unique.
Cheers Paul 🙂
Cheers Mark 🙂
That is a great cover Paul!! I just marvel at your collection, it’s so eclectic and something that is so valuable!! You’re such an artist yourself with the perfect digital renderings and picture scans. Burning The Ground is such a dazzling site on so many levels. A sonic museum, if you will. Thanks for this track and I like that there is a club edit on the B-side. You’re on fire all-the-time Paul!! You put me in a state of ecstasy 24/7!!!
Jeff
Thank you Jeff 🙂
Regarding their shorts on the front cover…”One of these kids is doing his own thing…one of these kids is not the same” 🙂
I wonder who will get this reference. 🙂
Those are some serious 70s shorts!!
By the way, Paul THANK YOU for all you do!!!!!
