Fantastic. Very Thanks. I m Happy.
Thanks v much Paul! Their best tune IMO.
Great post Paul, as always. Love the commentary by Negative 1. He’s quite knowledgeable with the bands he loves and I appreciate his comments.

Thank’s Paul, Three top songs. I think Simple Minds in the 80s were among the best. They never seemed quite the same to me after Mick MacNeil left.
You’re welcome, Greg 🙂
This looks amazing!! This was “our song” for me and my first girlfriend, Trisha. Thank you!!!
You’re welcome, Grant 🙂
Love this single, thanks!
You’re welcome, Retro Hound 🙂
hi paul, simple minds was one of my all time favorite bands in the 80’s. i heard new gold dream, and loved it, along with all the singles and remixes. then came sparkle in the rain, and it was just as impressive, with some of their best remixes of all time. dont you forget about me came out, which propelled them to worldwide stardom, and recognition in america. then, came a letdown for me, with once upon a time, which was basically american stadium rock, with a few exceptions. i didn’t care for the singles, or mixes, except for ghostdancing,… Read more »
I was disappointed with the deluxe box sets I thought the mastering like with many modern CDs these days was way too loud and a bit flat. I wish Simple Minds could have taken off to bigger success in the USA. 🙂 I am still unclear what mixes are left that are vinyl only.
Hi Paul, I don’t usually listen on my stereo anymore, mostly on computer, and in my car, so I haven’t really noticed the quality of those recordings. But yes, they are probably mastered in a not so great fashion. Just got the Street Fighting Years one, which is also one of my favorite albums from them. But it didn’t have any commercial success here either. Simple Minds have tons of vinyl only mixes, especially from the ‘Neapolis’ era onwards, and I have most of the dj mixes, and promos, but haven’t listed them out yet. But its too numerous to… Read more »
Thanks for your reply and knowledge -1.
Thank you, Paul!
You’re welcome, Skiler 🙂
Thanks Paul. I got the Once Upon A Time deluxe cd set a few years ago. But some of the tracks were mastered too loud. Your vinyl rips are far better.
I agree with you Omar the CD is mastered wy too loudly. 🙂
