I never looked for a 12″ of this one (I simply didn’t expect they would extend this track) so this is a welcome addition to my Sheena’s 12″s. Thanks Paul. Now, there’s a bunch of remixes spread over the singles from “The Lover In Me” album. Could we hope for those? As far as the re-issues are concerned, the sound is (by far) inferior compared to these rips, and having a lot of tracks missing, I wouldn’t call them “deluxe” at all. And something for the companies: Louder is NOT better, Re-mastering is NOT throwing out all the bass from… Read more »
This was an interesting release .. but not interesting enough to purhase the 12″ at the time .. I along with others preferred Do you, Devil, and Machinery ..
This series of Sheena Easton posts marks my last week of school term – isn’t that nice? ~ Chwee
Very nice Chwee 🙂
Thanks for the rip. Even though I though this wasn’t a very good cover and the song far too repetitive in nature, I did enjoy the music video!
You’re welcome Macha. I agree it is a bit repetitive and the 12″ mix even makes it more so lol.
Everyone was digging their Jimmy’s in 1986.
Sheena was all about Jimmy Mack, Aretha hot over Jimmy Lee, and Madonna simply wants her Jimmy more than once. LOL!
Loving all your remasters, Paul. Thank you!
I just wished Sheena had done a 12″ remix or extended for Machinery in 1982, her stab at New Wave.
I agree Ric I always wished for a 12″ of “Machinery” and “Devil In A Fast Car” 🙂
Paul, that was my dream too! A long version for “devil in a fast car”! This song still excites me when I play it!
Thanks! The “Do You” album is a favorite of mine, due to Nile Rodgers’ production!
Mine too Doug. You’re welcome 🙂
..and one more ‘thank you’ goes to Paul for his great Sheena’s collection! 🙂
You’re very welcome Spring 🙂
For your information :
SHEENA EASTON’s albums ‘You Could Have Been With Me’, ‘Madness Money & Music’, ‘A Private Heaven’ and ‘Do You’ have all been reissued in expanded double album editions featuring two albums on each release with extra tracks (B-sides & Remixes)
Please have a look on http://www.amazon.co.uk
Yeah I am aware of it but they do not include all of the mixes. Plus the remastering is way too loud.
Thanks Paul, one of my all time favourite songs, though I’ve always preferred this version:

You’re welcome Jermajesty. Funny vid 🙂
I so wished Bananarama had recorded it for real while at SAW!
Yes that would have been fun 🙂
Thanks!

You’re welcome Drake 🙂
Thanks for the last 12 inch of this Sheena series, Paul. It was fun.
Curious what tomorrow brings…
