Hooray for disco fridays! Or in this case, disco monday. Thank you!
Hey Paul I just wanted to let you know I sent you a message on your Google Mail. I made a list of possible vinyl requests that I wanted you to checkout and give me some feedback on what you think about them. I sent it about a week ago. I don’t know if you got them because you us Google mail and I us Hotmail idk if that would make a difference or not. O yes I am one of the few people that don’t use facebook or twitter haha. I may have sent you a similar list last… Read more »
Sorry I didn’t spell check.
Thank you!
Thanks.
Wow, I think this was the first 12″ single I ever bought. Can’t wait to hear it again.
Enjoy Dean!
Thanks, Yes love to hear that last minute in 24/96. Thank You.
You’re welcome Rick RBG 🙂
p.s. I clearly remember hearing Sarah Dash sing this on Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert. Apparently some of these classic episodes will be released on DVD one day. The Web site:
http://www.donkirshner.com/
has been saying “coming soon” for about two years now. Perhaps Gold Legion is behind this site too? 🙂
Looks like it’ll be cool if it ever gets released 🙂
Thanks, Paul! I love you! I was going to say everything my friends above said: I’ve waited forever for this one, I was very frustrated by the Club Epic CD release’s edited (album?) version, frustrated by Gold Legion’s always long-delayed releases, etc. You’ve made us old and new disco babies very happy tonight! Best, J.
You’re welcome Jbird. Apoligies for making you wait so long. I hope that you end up being happy with my rip. Nice to see you by the way 🙂
I was saying YOU made me wait, Paul. I was talking about the CD manufacturers made me wait — and I was still waiting — until today. Thanks again for everything — especially the disco rarities, friend.
OMG! I MEANT to say you DIDN’T make me wait…
WOW! A very favorite of mine gets the BTG treatment! I could never find a faultless copy of this one (bought it twice as “NM” but wasn’t lucky when it arrived). It must have been a widely-played 12″ back in the day, as most copies you can find are really worn-out. The strange thing is that when it was included in cd-compilations, it was brutally cut-down to 5:40 (in all of them). Now what’s the point in early fading-out the 12″ versions when that’s exactly what you advertise??? THANK YOU dear-dear Paul for this weekend’s treat and have a jolly… Read more »
You’re welcome George E. I searched a long time for my copy as well. It’s also one of my favorites. Record companies do some strange things I never understood why they did early fades. Maybe they din’t have a good master or they didn’t have enough room on the disc. Who knows lol. Have a great weekend 🙂
Thanks for this one … I’ve also been frustrated by the CD appearances (so far) having only the version with the early fade. Gold Legion has the CD on their release schedule (http://www.shop.goldlegion.com/Sarah-Dash-67094562352.htm) with the timing for “Sinner Man” the same as the 12″. Gold Legion releases can sometimes be delayed for ages, but the final product is always worth the wait.
Oh, the GL releases…I’ll tell you one thing only: I ordered Madleen Kane’s CD “Cheri” in November 2011 (!!!) Still not announced! Need I say more??
Exactly my same experience, George. Ai yi yi! WTF is up with Gold Legion? Can we at least get realistic ship dates???!
Good luck. Zenith quality or not, I’ll never spend another dime with GL again. I ordered the Vicki Sue Robinson reissues and received exactly ONE of them. All subsequent e-mails went ingored by them, as well. My story is not unique, either.
Wow…my friday will be happier after this single!! Thanks, Paul.
You’re welcome Racleao 🙂
