Burning The Ground Exclusive 1985
“Say It Again” is a 1985 single by American band Santana formed in San Francisco in 1966 by Mexican-born guitarist Carlos Santana.
“Say It Again” nearly hit the U.S. Top 40 peaking at #46 in 1985, and in Carlos Santana’s arsenal of lead singers, the vocals on “Say It Again” fell to the soulful Greg Walker. Of Santana’s 15 Top 40 songs, Walker would sing lead on two of them as he made his mark with “Stormy” and “She’s Not There” – both of which charted in the ’70s and were remakes of ’60s songs.
“Say It Again”, also reached #15 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. The song was taken from the band’s fourteenth studio album “Beyond Appearances”.

Love the work you do, Paul. However, Satana can take his transphobic ignorance and shove it
Só quem viveu sabe a emoção dessas músicas!
A vida é curta, Paul. Sempre é hora de ser agradecido: Grato por todos esses anos de compartilhamento, Paul! GRATO!
Ficou muito bom! Parece menos remasterizado 😉
Grato Paul!
So grateful for another Jellybean remix. I was a fan of the remixes that he did for Bee Gees (You Win Again) and Sting – If You Love Somebody (Set Them Free) which you posted a while ago.
Thanks Paul 🙂
Finally, a great quality remaster of this Santana single!
Greg Walker does a great vocal on this one. Thank you for a rare 12 inch transfer, and for the meticulous restoration of the covers also. Love these older covers showing graphic design from that time.
Hi Paul, I have been looking for this remix for some time now and I only have a low bit rate version of until now. I haven’t looked into any compilation but I don’t think that this 12″ has been available on any 80s music compilation that featured extended versions.
Thank you Paul!! Love this single and a great dance mix by Jellybean! Actually, Santana had such a revolving door of singers that he was probably considered another “faceless” band by the public. But at least he’s gotten his due as an influential guitarist! Have a great weekend Paul, Jeff, Fred and the whole BTG community!
A true classic 12 inch mix which I brought at the time and played to death, great post and remaster. Thank you very much.
Thanks for this! Also just a wish list item … my favorite Santana song came out a couple of years before this: “Winning.” I don’t know if a remix or anything came out when it was issued as a single, but if it was – and if you just happen to have it – I’d sure love to hear someday!
Just a thought … but thanks again for this, this is a treat!
Hey Paul,
WOW!! I don’t know how I missed this, must have been on another planet. Thanks for posting.
Kent 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
You’re welcome, Kent 🙂
Another magic Jellybean mix. Thanks a lot Paul! Have a great weekend 🙂
Excitement!! Paul, I just love these dance mixes of rock records and leave it to you to surprise me with one I never heard before! Love that Jellybean is involved because he is a definite favorite of mine. And does that mean (speaking of Santana) that maybe, Jellybean’s cover of “Jingo” might not be that far behind? I just love this great music. Kudos once again for the Barbie weeks here on BTG. I’m at an age now where I’m not embarrassed to admit that I love the girly and bubblegum pop that’s in my collection of music! Sure, I… Read more »
You’re welcome, Jeff. Thank you for always wanting to hear new things. Have a great weekend 🙂
Gracias! Greg Walker is such a great singer.
