Downloaded your link for this 12″ Single, but when I went to open it, the folder won’t open to allow me to extract the 2 mixes. Help!
Make sure you enter the correct password Steven.
This is after I’ve gotten passed the password. The folder containing the tracks shows up, but for some reason, I’m unable to open it.
I’ve never had this problem with tracks of yours in the past… and that’s why I don’t understand the problem I’m having with this one. Hmmm.
I’ve never heard this one, I don’t believe. I’ll have to see if it’s as good as, “On The Loose!” Thank you, Paul!
Oh, and Happy Belated Birthday, Paul!
Wow! Thank you very much Paul. Been some time since I commented here, but a continous thanks for all your efforts, especially all the David Bowie 12-inches lately! And a belated Happy birthday!
Regarding Saga, been looking for the extended A-side version on this for a long time so thanks a lot for that. Apart from this one, I Think there are only two other Saga singles that have 12″ remixes: Take a chance and What do I know. If you evr find a copy of Take a chance, please consider buying and ripping it!
Hi Johan,
I do own both 12″ singles Take a chance and What do I know. You are right. These are the only singles toghether with The flyer to have 12″ remixes.
Any chance you could rip those mixes? Or send your 12″es to Paul? 🙂
I can’t rip but I could donate them to Paul, like I’ve done it with “The flyer”. The problem is that I live in France and shipping to USA is very expensive. I paid 40 USD for only 9 records. If you know a cheeper way please let me know it.
Hi Daniel,
I don’t know whereabout you live in France, but if you’re coming to Germany once in a while, Deutsche Post is relatively cheap and reliable.
You can mail a parcel as an oversized letter (called ‘Maxibrief international’) for 7.– Euro worldwide, max. weight 1kg.
Max. girt size 90cm (length + width + height).
Optional extra charge for registration (trackable and insured) is 2.50 Euro extra.
Thank you for these informations 2wicky. Yes, Germany is really close for me. I will check for it.
In the eclectic local club frequented in the 80, they played Saga numerous times on request as we had a lot of rockers in our small town area. Can you imagine a playlist including New Order, De La Soul, Siouxie, Donna Summer, Grace Jones, Duran Duran and then an album track by Sage running for about 10 minutes. Kids these days probably get aggressive when that happens, we were okay and enjoyed other people danincg and freaking too 😉
Sage, well, you know, I meaned Saga, haha
It was alwyas fun to see the club kids enjoying a rock mix 🙂
🙂
🙂
Happy (belated) birthday Paul. Hope you had a great day.
Thank you Joey. I had a great day 🙂
Wow, I never even knew there was a 12″ of that one … I had played “Heads or Tales” so often when I was 15, I still know every note; looking forward to these special versions. Thank you!
Any other Saga songs in your vault?
Sorry this is all I have at the moment Andy. Enjoy! 🙂
This is a new one one me, but i trust i will like it all the same.
Glad you had a great day yesterday!
Thanks Paul 🙂
Hope you like it Junior 🙂
Oh Paul, do you know what you are doing to me right now? You are making me soooooo happy, words can’t describe. These rips sound so fantastic. I’ve been dreaming about it for so long and now it becomes reality, thanks to you Paul. You really know how to make someone happy. I remember listening to this back in 1983. A thousand thanks for this wonderful post. You are my champion and you are touching my heart so deeply.
You’re very welcome Daniel. Glad to see you happy and having a gret time. 🙂
First off Paul, welcome back! I trust you had a very happy birthday and that the day went very well for you. You so deserve it too as you spoil us everyday with fantastic music rips! And speaking of which, this is a fantastic surprise. I haven’t thought about Saga for quite sometime. I love when you bring back musical memories for me because it makes me relive my youth and that is a very good thing. I’m looking forward to the club version here because I love rock records that have dance mixes to them. Again, this is an… Read more »
I had a great birthday yesterday Jeff. So many comments left here and messages from Facebook that I could not respond to all of them. I was really over joyed. I think you’ll like this one the club version is pretty much instrumental not much in the way of vocals but still nice 🙂
