Great rip, Paul. First few Sade albums sound way better on vinyl than CD. Would love to hear other Sade 12″ if you have them.

Thanks for this one….and stunning cover art too.

You do such a professional job with such attention to detail and quality…I always think why can’t you be in charge of a reissue label!!!

Timeless single from Sade, thank you for sharing this. The cover scan looks awesome!! It’s one of her iconic covers. 🙂

BTW, don’t know if you are planning to rip the 12” single of “Turn My Back On You”? I’ve been looking everywhere for a good digital rip (Heff’s Mix) but have no luck.

Paul!!! You know, it’s almost scary!! Just yesterday I was glancing at the Sade postings and wishing that maybe someday soon, you might be able to re-rip them, and then I check on what you did today, and I am shocked, surprised and THRIlLLED!!! Amazing that you brought this back!! I so so hope you can do “Smooth Operater” sometime soon too as I’ve never knew there was a full 8 minute mix. Again, I’m bowled over with gratitude for all your tireless work and energy. THanks from the bottom of my heart Paul. You’re just fabulous!!!

Ha, Sade! That’s good news. Very nice you re-ripped this one. I am still looking for the excellent 8:47 minute extended version of ‘Smooth Operator’, which you posted a long time ago with your old equipment (and has been dead for a long time and by now deleted from your blog). Hope you can re-rip that one too shortly. Such a terrific version almost nobody remembers anymore: after the vocal runs its course the song turns into the Red Eye with a great instrumental breakdown. Available on the regular 12 inch pressings and on the US promo pressing (which doesn’t… Read more »
