UAU! I listened to it and enjoyed it a lot, in those years… I believe I never knew the name of the song. Rascals Dub is classic and supreme! Thanks for the RIP and info, Paul.
Eta, É escutar que dá vontade de dançar!!!
Sa-Fire’s first single was actually “Don’t Break My Heart” – Followed by “Let Me Be The One”
They didn’t include “Don’t Break My Heart” on her Debut album, and only Included the club mix (+dub) of “Let Me Be The One” on the CD
awesome
very very nice my brother paul thank you my brother freestyle forever
Hey Paul, I love Sa-fire’s early music from the late 80’s. Her later efforts, however, aren’t as good (although Exotique from 2009 is the exception). Thanks very much for ripping this vinyl. I hope you have some of her other freestyle singles to post in the future. Let Me Be the One is my personal favourite. Please keep these freestyle classics coming. They still make me want to dance. Loving what you’re doing, hombre!
Another wonderful freestyle classic. Love the groove you’re in. Thanks for what you do Paul!
You’re welcome Thomas 🙂
Wow! I haven’t even THOUGHT of this song in decades! Thanks for the classic cut!
Let’s also thank Marc Anthony and the Latin Rascals!
Thank you VERY MUCH, Paul, for these freestyle and Latin (any house coming soon? Noel’s Silent Morning? 🙂 ) rips!!!! I greatly, greatly appreciate it!!
-Fred
You’re most welcome Fred. I have Silent Morning but need to check it before committing to ripping it 🙂
Super Pault gracias, un par de sugerencias Promise Circle: easy to touch and Coro: my fallen Ángel.
De Nada Carlos 🙂
When I saw the cover of this 12″ it was immediately familiar to me. I have it as a CD single containing all these Latin Rascals edits. I bought it by mistake on a rummage sale. I confused it with a german synth-pop band called “Saphir”. I’m finally glad I had this confusion because I really like these mixes.
You got lucky. If it is the German edition I’m thinking of, that CD single is worth a pretty penny!
It is the german edition. Only the 7″ version is not included.
What I so love about these releases you’re doing (and like all of your other rips) you are giving us the full 12-inch treatment! I’m sorry, that came out a bit dirty, but so many versions are left out of compilations. Paul, you’re making me full-on happy doing the records you’re doing. I really loved Sa-Fire, who I believe was married for a time to Albert Cabrera, one of the Latin Rascals. It’s interesting to see how major labels were going after these Latin Hip Hop artists after they saw how the records off of independent labels were selling. Cutting… Read more »
The 12-inch treatment is always better than the 7-inch treatment. LOL
Fred,
You’re hysterical!!
Jeff
I am speechless lol 🙂
Hi, Paul!
Nice to see that you’re giving a chance to some freestyle singles. There’s plenty of good stuff out there and it’s awesome to have these records with the quality of your rips. Thank you so much!!
You’re welcome Lucio Dario. I always think it’s fun to step outside the box once in a while 🙂
Love, love, love this freestyle song! Very catchy and nice melody. Thanks for this Freestyle posts wave we are having. DJ Paul, i hope you do Cerrone’s Never Let A Day Go By. It’s simply one of the best Hi-Nrg song there ever was! Stay well!
You’re welcome Gilbert 🙂
