This song was and still very popular in Brazil,I remember back in 1986 this song was on of the most requested song in the Radio that year.
This song is great, and so are you, Paul!!! THANKS! THANKS! THANKS!
BTW: Do you have “Do you love her?” I think it’s from the same album. Not sure if it was released as a single. Thanks.
British? i alway thought they were australians
Love anything associated with the Bee Gees (seems like such a loooong time ago) – thanks a lot for this, DJPaul!
Muchas gracias Paul, he esperado este tema en tu página durante años y al fin llegó.
Ahora a esperar Sebastian Santa Maria – Keep On Singing [12” Maxi]
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺🍾💪👍
Perfect!! Thanks Paul 👍
Everything from the brothers Gibb is welcome! Great to have a decent rip of this rare 12 inch. Another awesome post Paul, thank you.
You’re welcome Stefano 🙂
Many Thanks Paul!
You’re welcome Gustavo 🙂
Really catchy chorus, shame it didn’t do well, Robin just like the rest of the Gibb brothers had a great voice. Juliet from 1983 was another good track by Robin…..Loved lots of the Bee Gees tracks as well.
Another fantastic post Paul…..Have you got Roxy Music’s Same Old Scene (Glimmers Remix) which is on the Roxy Music – Remix #02 Vinyl (2007), I don’t think Same Old Scene had a 12″ version from 1980. I have the Love Is The Drug (Rollo & Sister Bliss Mixes)on CD.
I don’t have that one John I am not very up on new remixes I will have to check it out 🙂
OMG, what a surprise! This one was in my wishlist for ages. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, DjPaulT… You are my Santa.
You’re welcome Walter C 🙂
How did I miss this? Absolutely no memory of this song. It did not chart over here and I wonder why. It is lovely and comes with a great b-side. Oh Robin, you too are missed.
Very underrated in my opinion. I agree with you the b-side is great 🙂
Wow Paul! What’s going on here? Wonderful! Perfectly wonderful! What a fantastic week this is! I love the Bee Gees and Robin’s solo stuff. This is my favorite single by Robin after “Another lonely night in New York”. The record company failed to release this extended mix but fortunately we have Paul’s Burning The Ground, the best place on the web, coming to our rescue and gifting us with this sublime crystal clean rip. I’m so deeply happy right now. Paul you are so thoughtful I can never thank you enough. I will be forever grateful. Hopefully this rather unknown… Read more »
You’re welcome Daniel I am happy that you are happy 🙂
Thanks. Of course no introduction is needed for the talent of the brothers Gibb. I love the solo stuff Robin Made, because even though it was sometimes tacky, it was always catchy too. Juliet and Boys Do Fall In Love are examples. I do not know this one – I will give it a try. Thanks!
You’re welcome Martijn hope you like it 🙂
Paul, you know I’m a big fan of Robin’s “Boys Do Fall In Love” single so I’m really happy to have another song by him from you. Just because a song failed to chart doesn’t make it any less great. Like yesterday’s Matthew Wilder song, of which I love, I’m just grateful to you because of your fine tastes in music. Your introductions are spectacular to me Paul!
Best,
Jeff
Thank you, Jeff. I think this is a pretty underrated song I am a little confused as to why it was not a hit. I hope that you like it 🙂
