Thanks for this remix. I got the soundtrack for this song and was upset that the remix version was used in the video. Also, this being the third single from an album kinda follows Cyndi Lauper’s She Boy (third single and single version different from the album version). Also, this video had no clip or theme from the movie.
Thanks again
This is an awesome rip and a big thank you for this as Rick Springfield is one of 80s favorite rock artists. Do you have maybe in your collection to rip another underestimated and rare extended version, Chris De Burgh – (The Ecstasy Of Flight) I Love the Night (Extended version)?
Simply amazing work you do and share, Thank you
Its a little Early, but Happy Thanks Giving Everyone
A little late to this post but thanks, Paul! By the way, Rick did release a Japanese 12″ Collection on cd in 2004 but I never knew about it and it’s OOP. I’ve heard it, though, and the quality is great! I just can’t convince myself to spend $80+ for a used copy. 🙂 Have a great day and thanks again, Paul!!
Ha Ha, I’ve never seen that video or movie. Gonna have to check it out. Fitting that you would release a Luongo remix, since Arthur Baker just released (today) the newest Dance Masters: Arthur Baker presents Dance Masters: John Luongo
I saw Rick springfield a couple of years ago and he was amazing … and still looks and performs amazingly young! Great share as always! THANK YOU!
Hello Paul!!!
The most redeeming quality of this movie was the soundtrack. Love Somebody is probably my favorite Rick Springfield hit. Bop ‘Til You Drop has a great groove! And as a bonus we get the 12 inch Human Touch single (which I love) in Japanese ‘Paulity’. Doesn’t get much better than that! Thank you Paul!
You made me smile Retro Hound ‘Paulity’ I love it! I also have a soft spot for this movie even though it isn’t that great. Rick continues to tour and put out music even though he is well into his seventies. 🙂
Yes Rick is a tour de force! I would have liked to have seen him on his tour this past Summer. And physically he hasn’t really changed!
I agree he still looks and sounds amazing. I would love to see him live too.
A fantastic post, Paul!!!
The more Mr. Springfield, the better 🙂
Keep ’em coming. Greetings from Brazil…
Greetings Juliano 🙂
I have such a love for pop songs that have a dance version made of it! Thank you so much for this 12-inch Paul. I love both sides of it too. Very cool about the David Fincher directed music video!!
Jeff
You’re welcome, Jeff. David Fincher is one of my favorite directors too 🙂
thanks Paul
You’re welcome, Stefan 🙂
