Good evening, and thank you very much for this post.
Such a fantastic song, I just love it. Believe it or not, the first time I actually made a mental note of it was in 2004 (!) when it was part of a “Ben Liebrand In The Mix” megamix! How did I miss that song or “Save your love” before then?
Thank you for the upload, I can´t stop humming the melody now. 🙂
Have a great weekend, Paul and Jeff and everyone here at “our” BTG 🙂
Love this duo. Glad to hear those others are remembering the song too. I love their “I Love You More” even better and almost forgot about this one, so I know what you mean about this one being obscure.
Paul, have yourself a great weekend!! Song And Dance enjoy yours too and to the many dance music denizens out there, hope you do as well!!!
Jeff
Thank you, Jeff. Have a great weekend 🙂
A Killer! I own the “12 also. I watch your posts since the beginning. Keep up the good work – You dj Paul make people happy. with best regards from Vienna/Austria
Thank you 🙂
Wow straight out of left field! Thank you Paul!! Have a great weekend.
You’re welcome Retro Hound 🙂
Thanks for the awesome post, Paul!! I would disagree that this is obscure. 🙂 This was played very, very often in CT on numerous radio stations. As others stated, it is far underrated and sad that I’ve never, ever heard it on any kind of 80s retro show. Anyway, thanks for THIS CLASSIC and have a fantastic weekend!!
Hello Mr Fred, the song is a dancefloor filler in Vienna since years. Whenever I play it in the club, people going crazy. Obscure? Never! A classic? Sure! with best regards from Vienna/Austria
What I mean by obscure is that you never hear of this track or duo nowadays. I have never heard it played on retro shows or radio. Sure it was big when released but it has fallen into the obscure category in my view.
–
True, it has been ages since I’ve seen this one anywhere.
Mind you, this was also a dancefloor filler here in Singapore too, back in ’86! Right up there with Nu Shooz etc… Thanks for this underrated classic Paul!
Not that obscure, surely?
Fab though…
I bet if Family Feud surveyed 100 people none would even no who René & Angela is. They are never played on Retro radio.
They would probably confuse them with Renee & Renato. Funny, that! Angela Winbush is a legend.
thank you Paul for this classic
You’re welcome 🙂
Underrated classic – thank you!
