“Disco Santa Claus” is a one-off Disco single by the studio group Raindolls. Produced and arranged by Eric Matthew one of the co-founders of the Disco group Gary’s Gang the song also includes drums by Gary’s Gang drummer Gary Turner. “Disco Santa Claus” was produced by Profile Records founder Cory Robbins. The b-side “Santa’s Theme” is an instrumental of “Disco Santa Claus”.

Great find. I’d love to hear the 7″ version if it’s available. In my opinion, the long interlude in the middle takes away from the track. How do others feel?
The AVI label was co-founded by former Four Preps bassist, Ed Cobb, who wrote The Standells’ hits “Dirty Water” and “Sometimes Good Guys Don’t Wear White” as well as the Gloria Jones/Soft Cell hit “Tainted Love”.
AVI’s roster included Liberace and prolific musician & jazz radio DJ David Benoit, but were famous for glutting the market with so-so disco records, with El Coco, and Le Pamplemousse being among their biggest ‘artists’.
This one is a good record with great production. Pretty much a Gary’s Gang track. Not sure who the female vocalist is though.
