DJPaul have you by Any chnace gopt 12″ A beat for you by Pseudo echo?
What a treat, Paul. What a way to dance into the weekend. I have a couple of Pseudo 12inches, but not that one. Love it. I do not recall ever listening to the Stranger In Me dance mix. Just putting it on my usb stick and will be listening to it a couple of times on my 30-minute drive to work. Oh, almost 7 am. Gotta go 🙂
Thank you Paul. Again, what a treat!
You’re welcome SongAnd Dance 🙂
Thank you so much for ripping this! A true rare gem.
You’re welcome Scott 🙂
Gorgeous remastering!!
Thank you Cdmaniac 🙂
Thank you so much (as always) for this Paul! your blog is pretty much the greatest thing on the net!
I’m still trying to track down the original version of their “Love An Adventure” album as the 2nd version has a (partially) different track list. I’m not even sure all the tracks that they share are the same versions?
Thanks so much for this 12″. A great band.
Their first album “Autumnal Park” and the original non-U.S. “Love An Adventure” are very rare.
I have the orig cd of Love An Adventure CDP 7 46257-2 . goes for 100$ on discogs
Cherry Red however have just released the euro version on a deluxe 2 disc version altho im hearin the remasterin is tad bit shoddy..
This is phenomenal stuff Paul. I never knew Australia had their own Duran Duran. Seriously “Destination Uknown” could fool anybody as a real Duran Duran track.
BAMBOOZLED !
You are right with the similarities with Duran Duran, although I think they are more aesthetic as some scenes from the video of “Dancing Until Midnight” directly copied from “Planet Earth”. Musically, all his fantastic debut album reminds me of Ultravox with Midge Ure. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hrf8FxiqWc
They are very Duran Duran love them!
Thanks Paul, very excited to hear this!!! 🙂
You’re welcome Cory 🙂
This is great, with that Ultravox vibe! Thank you so much DjPaulT.
You’re welcome Walter 🙂
Perfect timing! Pseudo Echo are still touring (Brian Canham is the only original member left, though) and I’ll be seeing them in Perth tomorrow night! The amount of energy they bring to the show every time is incredible!
Hope you enjoyed the show 🙂
omg i was @ school when this came out hahaaahahah.. THANX so much…..
You’re welcome 🙂
Hello!!! Thank You From the Vinyl
Please!!!!! Upload the Single ABBA “Eagle/Thank You for the Music”
There aer a few of Steve Thompson’s remixes on Paul’s blog but he was very successful in the mid to late 80s. Quoting Discogs because it’s faster than me typing: “Starting out as a DJ in NYC night clubs, he evolved into a remixer and producer of some of dance music’s greatest hits, including Aretha Franklin’s “Who’s Zooming Who,” Madonna’s “Open Your Heart,” and Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance with Somebody”. His client list includes John Lennon, the Rolling Stones, Wu-Tang, Korn, Public Enemy, Madonna, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bob Marley, Ziggy Marley, Blues Traveler and Soundgarden. ” Such… Read more »
Steve Thompson is one of the great remixers always loved his work along with Michael Barbiero 🙂
Excellent Paul!! You just can pick the ultimate 12-inches to impress our ears and feet. I’m super excited hearing this lost gem.
Jeff
