Another juicy treat from Paul. Thank you! Pseudo Echo got on my radar late in 1983 with their original version of Listening. I remember staying up to catch them on late-night music video shows in late ’83 and early ’84 long before their remixed, re-released version in 1987 (a version that Paul posted here on June 26, 2017). Autumnal Park had some really great hits. Thanks, Paul! Mark S Berry is forever burned into my brain as the remixer of Kool & The Gang’s Fresh. I just love, love, love that remix.

Speaking of Berry, he remixed Gwen Guthrie’s Ain’t Nothin’ Goin’ On But the Rent…a classic 80s song. Any chance we could see that 12″ here, Paul? It has 4 sweet mixes!

Thanks for both this post and hopefully Gwen!

Because of you Paul, I’m relishing all these New Wave/Synth Pop classics. I’ve made so many AWESOME DISCOVERIES all because of Burning The Ground and I can’t get enough. It makes it fun to dive deeper into my own collection to see what I haven’t heard in years. I’m quarantining with my 80’s faves. Listening to tracks such as yours represents a time capsule but so much more. I hear so much “new music” especially in ear-gasmic quality. You make me forget the world outside and retreat to the dance club of my dreams. Yours is the best therapy I… Read more »
