I recently digitized a live radio broadcast by Pretty Poison from 1983, over at the Voodoo Wagon.
I must have heard this on the radio back in the day! It fits in perfectly with the other dance/pop acts of the day: T’Pau, Swing Out Sister, Nu Shooz… Love it! These mixes are totally new to me, thank you Paul!!
You’re welcome, Retro Hound. Glad you like this one 🙂
Loving it!! How you take me back, Paul, to those halcyon days when New York radio played this record all the time. I believe I even had this twelve-inch single. Gosh, all the money I spent on dance discs!! I was so happy doing it. Guess I’m at the age where I’m feeling sentimental and nostalgic! Thanks, Paul, for polishing up these sonic memories!! Praise to our Saint Rip!!
Jeff
You’re welcome, Jeff. i love this record 🙂
I love that whole album, but I never heard any of the remixes on this releases before! Very exciting. Judging by the remix names, they were trying to be very hip (for the time), which should be very interesting! THANK YOU for yet another amazing set of remixes!
Oh wow, I just saw that the scratches were provided by none other than DJ Spinbad! I had no idea he goes that far back. I mainly know him from his 90s mashups and 80s-styled mixtapes!
You’re welcome, Martika. These are really good mixes with lots of energy. I love the entire album too 🙂
