Thanks for this brilliant upload. I have the 12″ of this incredible track and had attempted my own Audition cleanup – but your skills far surpass mine. Thank you so much!

Paul, can I utter multiple thanks over and over again for doing this for me. So pleased the vinyl reached you safely and even more pleased that you love the track as well! I first saw Plan 8 at a Sydney gay pub that many of their youtube videos are also shot in. They were hugely popular on the Sydney pub/club scene – sad that Phil passed away a couple of years after this track was recorded and release. I believe Cat Critch now resides in Perth (my home town) on the west coast of Australia. I wonder if I’ll… Read more »

Phil, bumping into Cat would be wonderfully random.

I’ve also become aware that there’s a Facebook page “Plan 8 : Phill Colville & Cat Critch” that you can follow and has so many of their videos that isn’t distributed by the Cat Critch youtube channel someone had mentioned previously.

Seems their could be a documentary about Plan 8 in production late last year as Cat mentions a “movie” in a post late in 2014. Anyway you’ll ‘hear’ a lot more of their music through the Facebook page.

Again – you’re a champ!

Great discovery for me, thanx Paul! Geniusly put together, this Plan-8-sound. Hi-energy, new wave, disco, jazz, early house-vibes. Cool voice with a smokey subculture-cured edge. Annie lennox, some banshees, Giorgio Moroder and aerobics-on-dietpills come to mind spontaniously. Nice to see Divine’s hairdresser branched out in the 80’s 🙂

I second everyone in the comments, as much as I listen to 80s music I had never heard this band before, so thanks for the nice synthpop treat! While looking for more of this band, I found the channel of the lead singer: https://www.youtube.com/user/MsCatCritch/videos

Lots of unreleased New Wave-Synthpop tunes there. 😀

Paul, thanks for starting off the week right for me. I’ve always heard of the band, but I can’t say I’ve heard the record. So, it’s a new discovery for me. I absolutely love these and I appreciate the requests you get too as it helps fill in the gaps to my own likes and favorites. As you know, I’m obsessed with the 12-inch and welcome any new mixes that will make me move!!

This record is superb! Thank you Paul and for the one who requested this one in the first place. The song and mix is epic and driving and everything I could ever dream about in the perfect 80’s record. How did this one escape our airwaves, clubs and ears!?! Thanks Paul for your extreme generosity.
