Many thanks as always for this Paul – I had totally forgotten about this particular mix of Heartbeat, so it was a real pleasure to rediscover it. For anyone new to Thomas Leer, I would really recommend checking out his earlier, more shall we say ‘experimental’ music he did, especially with Robert Rental in the late 70s and early eighties, particularly “The Bridge” album – I know the great ‘DIEORDIY2’ blog is a good source. This is what I love about BTG, where else can you find such diversity in the choice of music coupled with outstanding rip quality –… Read more »

Wow, somehow I’d missed this mix! The whole album was really terrific.

Will you be putting up any 12″ singles from Act? He made some truly underrated tracks with Act.

Oh man, this one is right up my street! Why the A-side to this was left off the 2004 reissue of Scale Of Ten is a mystery. An absolute favorite! As for Act, to me the idea of that pairing is far more wonderful than the reality. Both Mr. Leer and Ms. Brücken are brilliant artists nonetheless and I thank you for this as always.

Thanks Paul . I always thought TL was a synth pop genius . However is the Ext. version different from the Cardiac mix?

You are remastering a lot! I know how long it takes you so I appreciate it. This is an excellent version of yet another ‘alternative’ track from the 80s, so far only on ‘Hardest Hits’ cd’s and the like that probably used vinyl masters like you did, so, as often, your version is probably better!

Although not familiar with this song, I do like the band ACT. Thanks for another cool new 12-inch for me Paul. You’ve been introducing me to some great tracks over the past year and I’m grateful. Have a super weekend.

I left this page open from yesterday. Refreshed it. Slow internet. My anticipation building. Had to wait almost 6 seconds for the page to refresh. Then it loads. Whammo! I am filled with joy! Thank you for this post, Paul. You are the best! Always loved this song! 😎

Paul, this rip sounds fantastic! I have not heard this mix before – only heard the extended mix on the hardest hits volume 1 compilation. The b-side of this record is really good too!
