Paul, Paul, Paul, Paul, Paul! Words fail me. Every now and then I get time on the internet, and tonight when looking for the mixes of Body Rock to compliment my 7″ rip, I find your post for that 12″ and then this one. Wowser. Thanks so much for your continued dedication and excellence 🙂

I bow to you Paul. This is one of those “should have” promos, in that it was so sought after for so long, and didn’t get the full release it should have a the time. It’s akin to Shep’s “Out Of The Blue” US promo 12″ for Erasure’s Blue Savannah. Another “almostshouldabeenwhythehellwasn’titretail” release like this one.

I’ve heard the rights generally need to be renegotiated for commercial releases of these types of commissions, but I do believe the Erasure track got a US compilation release somewhere. Still, a UK issue never occurred, and I guess this won’t either.

Welcome back, Paul!
I love both the Mendelsohn and Baker mixes…different treatment creating different mood. This is one of my favourite PSB singles of all time!
Let’s check out your new “needlework”! LOL!

I have my own rip of this mix, but I’m going to trash mine in favor of your far-superior version.

I love this version. It was my favorite song of off “Please” and the version on “Disco” didn’t have the urgency that the album version did. Arthur Baker’s version did, in spades.

PAUL!!!!! So stimulated that you’re back!!! What an excellent choice for your return!! I’m hoping to download this later on tonight, but I had to write and lavish praise. I am a HUGE Arthur Baker fan and I don’t believe I’ve ever heard this mix. I can’t wait. I love PSB and now with A.B. providing the mix, I feel I will be in ecstasy later on!!!

BTW, how’s the new stylus? I hope it’s everything you wanted and more.

Cheers and thanks again.

Jeff
